Mr ALEXANDER MATHAI PAIKADAY
Alexander Mathai Paikaday is a Legal Associate at the New Delhi office of Paikeday & Paikeday Lawyers and enrolled as an Advocate before the Bar Council of Delhi. Dr Katerina Palkovska
Katerina is a junior lawyer in a boutique law firm focusing on International Commercial Arbitration as well as a Ph.D. student at the Department of International and European Law, Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. She participated in the 26th Vis Moot and also in the FDI Moot. Katerina studied in Israel, Norway and in Sydney, Australia where she also gained practical experience in an international arbitration center. She has been coaching the Vis Mot Team of Masaryk University, Czech Republic for two years.
Prof Dario Simone Palmiotti
Dario is a Ph.D. Candidate at HKU and a Visiting Professor at RULE.
He has an international background with legal education in civil law and common law jurisdictions. He holds degrees from the National University of Singapore (LL.M.), the University of Lucerne and the University of Neuchâtel (CAS), and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (J.D. equivalent). He further specialised in arbitration by attending courses such as the widely recognised Arbitration Academy in Paris and the Hague Academy of International Law.
He has significant experience working at arbitral institutions such as HKIAC, AIAC, and THAC. He is admitted as a Fellow of CIArb, SIArb and several institutes of arbitrators in the Asia-Pacific region. He is an accredited HKMAAL General Mediator and is listed as Tribunal Secretary at HKIAC and TIAC.
Since 2017, he has actively advised and coached different universities. He also participates regularly as an arbitrator in competitions held each year in Vienna and Hong Kong.
Dr iur Alissa Palumbo Högger
Dr. Palumbo Högger is the founder of Legal-ease (legal-ease.ch), aimed at providing high quality English editing and instruction to legal academics and lawyers. She currently teaches Legal English at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Previously, she worked as a research assistant and post-doctoral assistant at the University of Basel, where her areas of focus were international commercial law and Anglo-American tort and contract law.
She participated in the 15th and 16th Vis Moots for Pace University, and has had the privilege of coaching many of the University of Basel Vis Moot teams since 2009. She is a Swiss-based American attorney, admitted to the bar in New York.
Ms Rebecca Pang
Rebecca specialises in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution where she cca acts in arbitrations under various institutional rules (including ICC, SIAC, AIAC, HKIAC) as well as ad hoc arbitrations. She has advised multinational clients on disputes across a range of industry sectors, in particular the construction sector as well as commercial and joint venture disputes. Her experience also includes corporate crime and investigations, by assisting clients with internal investigations and corporate compliance and addressing anti-money laundering issues.
As a young lawyer, Rebecca brings renewed energy through her innovative and creative approaches in legal solutions. As former mooter herself, she believes in nurturing and cultivating potential by training law students who represent their university and nation at different levels of moot competition.
Rebecca serves on the Commercial Arbitration Committee at the Young Practitioner Group of Asian International Arbitration Centre.
Mr Andrey Panov
Andrey is a Counsel in Allen & Overy’s Dispute Resolution practice based in Dubai. He has over 14 years of experience representing his clients before Russian and foreign courts, as well before arbitral tribunals. Andrey regularly acts as lead counsel in his cases, and has conducted his own advocacy in numerous commercial, construction and investment arbitration cases under the ICC, SCC, LCIA, SIAC and ICAC Rules.

Prof Vladimir Pavic
Vladimir Pavic is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, where he teaches Private International Law, Arbitration, Competition Law and International Business Law. He was a recurrent Visiting Professor at University of Graz and Central European University.
He currently serves as Vice-President of the Belgrade Arbitration Center and is a member of the State Council of the Republic of Serbia for Private International Law. Ms Veronika Pavlovskaya
Veronika Pavloskaya is a Counsel at the London Court of International Arbitration. Professor Dr Niek Peters
Professor Dr Niek Peters is an expert in the field of (international) arbitration, both commercial and investment. He has been counsel in numerous arbitrations and court proceedings, governed by various procedural and substantive laws, relating to diverse legal issues (e.g. M&A, shareholder disputes, commercial contracts, investments, director’s liability and professional liability) and sectors (e.g. energy, construction, engineering and IT). In addition, he has acted as counsel in court proceedings relating to arbitration, including, but not limited to, proceedings regarding the enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards. My name is Ivan Petrov and currently I am LL.M Candidate in International Dispute Resolution in Humboldt-Iniversität zu Berlin which is a Master Program focused on International Commercial and Investment Arbitration. In 2018 I obtained my first master degree in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Bulgaria. During my studies I have undertaken many extracurricular activities. I have participated in two international moot court competitions in the fields of the European Union Law on behalf of the teams of Sofia University – The European Law Moot Court and the EUROPA Moot Court Competition as well as The National Commercial Moot Court Competition in Sofia. I have also concluded an internship through the Erasmus + Program in the law office of BRANDI Rechtsanwälte in Paderborn, Germany. I have experience in working with two of the leading law firms in Bulgaria, the one specialized in European Union Law and the other in Commercial and Civil Litigation. My special professional interests are concentrated on National and International Civil Procedural Law and Commercial Arbitration. Dr Stefanie Pfisterer
Dr. Stefanie Pfisterer, LL.M. (Harvard) is a partner at Homburger AG in Zurich. Stefanie Pfisterer's practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration as well as litigation. She acts as arbitrator and counsel in complex proceedings before arbitral tribunals and state courts. Stefanie Pfisterer is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, a member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre and a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR for Switzerland. Prof F. Peter Phillips
F. Peter Phillips is an arbitrator and mediator in the New York City area. He is Director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Program at New York Law School, where he is Distinguished Adjunct Professor. He is active in the American Bar Association (Dispute Resolution and Business Law Sections), the U.I.A., and other bar associations. He is author of several law review articles on cross-cultural dispute resolution and history of arbitration, and wrote four award-winning films on resolving conflicts arising from business and human rights. Anastasija is working at the European Parliament as a Policy Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament. She specializes in Economics, Financial Services, Taxation and Anti-Money Laundering. Previously, she has worked in public affairs and the European Parliament TAX3 Secretariat. Anastasija holds Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Edinburgh, where she wrote a dissertation on enforcement of arbitral awards against a state. Anastasija has previously represented the University of Edinburgh at the Vis Moot herself.

Tobias Pinkel is a lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) at the University of Bremen and the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and researcher at the Centre of European Law and Politics in the fields of conflicts of law, comparative private law and European and international contract law. He participated in the Vis Moot 2007/08 and is the coach of the Vis Moot team of the University of Bremen since 2017.
Mr John Pinney
John B. Pinney is a senior trial lawyer with the Graydon Head law firm in Cincinnati. He chairs the International Practice Group, focusing on international dispute resolution. He has served as lead trial lawyer in numerous complex commercial, international, banking, securities, products liability, insurance and trust litigation cases, including international commercial arbitrations under the ICC, CPR, HKIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. Mr Patrick Pithon
Patrick Pithon is a Swiss qualified attorney specialising in international commercial and sports arbitration. He advises athletes, clubs and sports federations in a wide range of matters, particularly in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Additionally, he acts as counsel or secretary to the arbitral tribunal in commercial arbitration proceedings under various rules, including the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and Swiss Rules. He also advises clients in arbitration-related court proceedings in Switzerland, including actions to set aside Swiss arbitral awards or to recognise and enforce foreign arbitral awards.

Dr Tom Christopher Pröstler
Tom Christopher Pröstler acts in international arbitration proceedings under all major arbitration rules, in particular ICC, HKIAC, DIS and UNCITRAL Rules. Ryan Reetz, the managing partner of Bryan Cave's Miami (USA) office, represents clients as trial counsel in international and domestic commercial and regulatory disputes. Michele S. Katrina Salmgrieze has received the Bachelor`s degree in law from the University of Latvia in 2013 and the Master`s degree in law from the same university in 2015. During the last year of studies Katrina joined in the team of the University of Latvia and participated in the 22nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Finishing the university Katrina has defended the master thesis on subject “The Role of Courts Applying Interim Measures in International Commercial Arbitration Proceeding”.
Since 2014 Katrina has worked at law office “ECOVIS CONVENTS”. She has started as a legal adviser and now she works as an assistant of attorney at law. Ingeborg Schwenzer is Dean of Swiss International Law School and Professor emerita of Private Law at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia, and has been an adjunct professor at City University, Hong Kong, and at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. She has published numerous books and more than 200 articles in the fields of law of obligations (contracts, tort law and unjust enrichment, sales law both domestic and international), commercial arbitration as well as family law. Jalal Seyedabadi is a young international arbitration practitioner. He has been involved in several proceedings under ICC, SCIA, VIAC UNCITRAL, ACIC, and SIAC as counsel and advisor which involved the law of England, France and Iran as the applicable law to the substance. Jalal also has experience in delivering corporate and transactional legal services to several major companies, mainly for arrangements in infrastructure, construction, and energy (ICE) as well as commerce and investment. Jalal's academic focus is the impact of recent technology developments on international dispute resolution, and currently, AI and international arbitration form the core of his attention. Aayushi Singh completed a double degree in International arbitration from the National University of Singapore, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and University of Geneva. She is a recipient of a full scholarship by the Aga Khan Development Network (2018-2019) for her higher studies. She also received a full scholarship to pursue the Austrian Arbitration Academy, 2019 offered by the Sommerhochschule, University of Vienna.
She pursued her seminal thesis at NUS under the supervision of Prof. M Sornarajah on the topic “Transparency in the Asian arbitration regime – the way ahead.” Her thesis in Geneva was titled “Fragmentation of BITs and the scope for multilateral convergence” and was supervised by Prof. Fuad Zarbiyev.
She has worked as a trainee for two reputed Swiss arbitration firms. While pursuing her LL.M. in Singapore, she worked as an attachee with Rajah and Tann and Allen and Gledhill, two of Singapore’s Big 4 firms. Ramona Sorgenfrei is an Associate at the Clifford Chance Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Dusseldorf focusing on IP related disputes, and a doctoral candidate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Schmidt-Kessel at the University of Bayreuth. She studied law with additional training in economics at the University of Bayreuth and passed the first state examination in July 2017 and her second state examination in August 2022.

Ms Tishta Tandon
Tishta is an India qualified lawyer specialising in civil litigation, arbitration and pre-dispute advisory and is currently pursuing the Master of Law (LLM) program at the University of Cambridge. Allison Torline is a Counsel at Busse Disputes. Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Allison is a US-trained attorney who practices international commercial and investor-state arbitration. She has extensive experience in various forms of arbitration, including proceedings conducted under the ICC, ICSID, DIS and HKIAC rules in addition to UNCITRAL and other ad hoc proceedings. Allison represents and advises clients from inter alia the trade, shipbuilding, construction, energy and pharmaceutical sectors. A particular focus of her practice is on the representation of States and investors in public international law disputes arising out of investment treaties. Furthermore, she is frequently involved in post-M&A disputes. She is a member the YAWP Steering Committee and has been recognised as a "future leader" in international arbitration by WWL/Lexology.

Dr Gregory Travaini
Gregory joined Herbert Smith Freehills in July 2012 (seconded to the firm's Hong Kong office 2018-2019), after formerly acting as Deputy Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, working as a Research Assistant to Professor J. Martin Hunter in London, and training at a magic circle law firm. He regularly advises clients in both ad hoc and institutional international arbitrations (ICC, AFA, SCC, and ICSID and UNCITRAL) both in commercial matters (construction, distribution, joint-venture, energy and sales contracts), acting for both private investors and State entities.
Gregory is a graduate of Paris II University (Pantheon Assas), Paris III University (Sorbonne Nouvelle), and University of London (King's College and the School of Oriental and African Studies). Mr Evaristo Treviño Berlanga
Evaristo Treviño Berlanga graduated from law school from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2005). He holds a Certificate in Negotiation, Mediation and Arbitration from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (2004) and a Master of Laws in Chinese and Comparative Law from City University of Hong Kong (2007).
In Mexico he practiced litigation and arbitration for over four years. In Hong Kong he worked for two years in a law firm in the China Practice area. In 2009 he founded La Nao Group, a firm based in Hong Kong integrated by Chinese, Mexican, Argentine, Spanish and Colombian lawyers servicing Latin-American companies dealing in China and Chinese companies dealing with Latin America. He is constantly involved in international disputes and potential disputes between Chinese and Latin American firms.
He is an associate member at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has participated in 2015 UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Conferences and 2016 UNCITRAL Trade Law Forum in Incheon, Korea as well as several arbitration events in Hong Kong.
In 2008 he founded The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the first Latin American chamber of commerce in Hong Kong.

Miss Eirini Tsoutsou
Eirini is an associate in Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan’s London office. Her practice focuses on international commercial and investor-state arbitration. In that context, she has represented both sovereign states and private entities, including entities acting in the banking, energy, and telecommunications sectors. Eirini has also acted for high net worth individuals in the context of estate litigation before the English courts. Eirini has acted in arbitrations under several procedural rules, including LCIA, ICC, and UNCITRAL, as well as in complex multi-party disputes.

Dr Johan Tufte-Kristensen
Johan Tufte-Kristensen is a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. His teaching and research concerns dispute resolution and conflicts of interest. He currently represents the Danish government in UNCITRAL’s Working Group II dealing with arbitration and conciliation, and he regularly provides legal advice on issues related to dispute resolution. He serves as a member of several boards, including the board of Young Arbitrators Copenhagen. Johan received an LL.M. degree in February 2014 and a PhD in Law in November 2017, both from the University of Copenhagen. His master's thesis concerns the appointment of arbitrators, and his PhD thesis concerns the impartiality and independence of arbitrators. Johan has been an exchange student at Pepperdine University School of Law and a visiting scholar at the University of Texas School of Law. Ms Sherlin Tung
Sherlin is a Partner in the International Arbitration and Litigation team of Withersworldwide and based in the Hong Kong office. She specializes in international commercial arbitration and advises clients in Asia, North America, and Europe on all aspects of cross-border disputes. Sherlin is also the Director, CEO of the Vis East Moot Competition as well as the Past President of the Moot Alumni Association.
Prior to joining Withers Worldwide, Sherlin worked with a leading international law firm in Hong Kong where she was a member of the international disputes practice group. Mr Jon Tweedale
Jon Tweedale is Co-Head of the International Arbitration Practice at Addleshaw Goddard LLP and is based in London.
He has over 22 years' experience advising on international commercial disputes and has acted as Counsel for multinationals, banks and governments in international arbitrations under most arbitral rules, including arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules seated in London, Paris and Vienna.
Jon is also a Solicitor-Advocate (Civil Proceedings) of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has substantial experience advising on proceedings in the Commercial Court in London.
