Dr Katerina Palkovska

Katerina is a junior lawyer in a boutique law firm focusing on International Commercial Arbitration as well as a Ph.D. student at the Department of International and European Law, Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. She participated in the 26th Vis Moot and also in the FDI Moot. Katerina studied in Israel, Norway and in Sydney, Australia where she also gained practical experience in an international arbitration center. She has been coaching the Vis Mot Team of Masaryk University, Czech Republic for two years.

Prof Dario Simone Palmiotti

Dario is a Ph.D. Candidate in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (Arb&DR) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He holds an LL.M. from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution (IADR). He further specialised in arbitration by attending several arbitration courses such as the widely recognised Arbitration Academy in Paris (2019) and the Hague Academy of International Law (2021).

He has significant experience at arbitral institutions such as internships at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC). Currently, he is working as Assistant Counsel at the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), primarily assisting legal staff in their everyday duties.

He is admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) and several institutes of arbitrators in the Asia-Pacific region. He is listed in the Panel of Arbitrators of the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) and the Centre for International Alternative Dispute Resolution (CiADR).

Since 2017, he has actively advised and coached different universities. He also participates regularly as an arbitrator in competitions held each year in Vienna and Hong Kong.

Dr iur Alissa Palumbo Högger

Dr. Palumbo Högger is the founder of Legal-ease (legal-ease.ch), aimed at providing high quality English editing and instruction to legal academics and lawyers. She currently teaches Legal English at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Previously, she worked as a research assistant and post-doctoral assistant at the University of Basel, where her areas of focus were international commercial law and Anglo-American tort and contract law.
She participated in the 15th and 16th Vis Moots for Pace University, and has had the privilege of coaching many of the University of Basel Vis Moot teams since 2009. She is a Swiss-based American attorney, admitted to the bar in New York.

Ms Rebecca Pang

Rebecca specialises in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution where she cca acts in arbitrations under various institutional rules (including ICC, SIAC, AIAC, HKIAC) as well as ad hoc arbitrations. She has advised multinational clients on disputes across a range of industry sectors, in particular the construction sector as well as commercial and joint venture disputes. Her experience also includes corporate crime and investigations, by assisting clients with internal investigations and corporate compliance and addressing anti-money laundering issues.
As a young lawyer, Rebecca brings renewed energy through her innovative and creative approaches in legal solutions. As former mooter herself, she believes in nurturing and cultivating potential by training law students who represent their university and nation at different levels of moot competition.

Mr Andrey Panov

Andrey is a Counsel in Allen & Overy’s Dispute Resolution practice based in Dubai. He has over 14 years of experience representing his clients before Russian and foreign courts, as well before arbitral tribunals. Andrey regularly acts as lead counsel in his cases, and has conducted his own advocacy in numerous commercial, construction and investment arbitration cases under the ICC, SCC, LCIA, SIAC and ICAC Rules.

Prof Vladimir Pavic

Vladimir Pavic is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, where he teaches Private International Law, Arbitration, Competition Law and International Business Law. He was a recurrent Visiting Professor at University of Graz and Central European University.
He currently serves as Vice-President of the Belgrade Arbitration Center and is a member of the State Council of the Republic of Serbia for Private International Law. Dr Natalia Perova is a Russian-speaking English barrister and international arbitrator dealing with international commercial disputes in English courts and international arbitration. Professor Dr Niek Peters

Professor Dr Niek Peters is an expert in the field of (international) arbitration, both commercial and investment. He has been counsel in numerous arbitrations and court proceedings, governed by various procedural and substantive laws, relating to diverse legal issues (e.g. M&A, shareholder disputes, commercial contracts, investments, director’s liability and professional liability) and sectors (e.g. energy, construction, engineering and IT). In addition, he has acted as counsel in court proceedings relating to arbitration, including, but not limited to, proceedings regarding the enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards. My name is Ivan Petrov and currently I am LL.M Candidate in International Dispute Resolution in Humboldt-Iniversität zu Berlin which is a Master Program focused on International Commercial and Investment Arbitration. In 2018 I obtained my first master degree in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Bulgaria. During my studies I have undertaken many extracurricular activities. I have participated in two international moot court competitions in the fields of the European Union Law on behalf of the teams of Sofia University – The European Law Moot Court and the EUROPA Moot Court Competition as well as The National Commercial Moot Court Competition in Sofia. Dr Stefanie Pfisterer

Dr. Stefanie Pfisterer, LL.M. (Harvard) is a partner at Homburger AG in Zurich. Stefanie Pfisterer's practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration as well as litigation. She acts as arbitrator and counsel in complex proceedings before arbitral tribunals and state courts. Stefanie Pfisterer is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, a member of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre and a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR for Switzerland. Prof F. Peter Phillips

F. Peter Phillips is an arbitrator and mediator in the New York City area. He is Director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Program at New York Law School, where he is Distinguished Adjunct Professor. He is active in the American Bar Association (Dispute Resolution and Business Law Sections), the U.I.A., and other bar associations. He is author of several law review articles on cross-cultural dispute resolution and history of arbitration, and wrote four award-winning films on resolving conflicts arising from business and human rights. Ms Anastasija Piazenko

Anastasija is working at the European Parliament as a Policy Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament. She specializes in Economics, Financial Services, Taxation and Anti-Money Laundering. Previously, she has worked in public affairs and the European Parliament TAX3 Secretariat. Anastasija holds Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Edinburgh, where she wrote a dissertation on enforcement of arbitral awards against a state. Anastasija has previously represented the University of Edinburgh at the Vis Moot herself.

Mr Tobias Pinkel

Tobias Pinkel is a lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) at the University of Bremen and the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and researcher at the Centre of European Law and Politics in the fields of conflicts of law, comparative private law and European and international contract law. He participated in the Vis Moot 2007/08 and is the coach of the Vis Moot team of the University of Bremen since 2017.

Mr John B Pinney

I have practiced as a lawyer for over 45 years, including 30 years in International Commercial Arbitration, primarily as counsel. I currently teach International Commercial Arbitration at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. I have also coached the Cincinnati Vis Team for the past 4 years and have volunteered as an arbitrator at the Vis Moot for the past 10 years.

Mr Alexey Pirozhkin

Mr Patrick Pithon

Patrick Pithon is a Swiss qualified attorney specialising in international commercial and sports arbitration. He advises athletes, clubs and sports federations in a wide range of matters, particularly in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Additionally, he acts as counsel or secretary to the arbitral tribunal in commercial arbitration proceedings under various rules, including the ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and Swiss Rules. Cédric Pittet is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group in Zurich, Switzerland.

Cédric graduated from the University of Basel, where he participated at the Vis Moot Court both as a team member and as a student coach. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Cédric worked as research and teaching assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. iur. Ulrich G. Schroeter at the University of Basel. Subsequently he worked as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal in Basel-Stadt and as a junior associate for a major law firm in Zurich. Cédric was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2023 and joined Baker McKenzie in the same year.

Mrs Luljeta Plakolli-Kasumi

Dr. Luljeta Plakolli-Kasumi is a Kosovo-based lawyer and lecturer with extensive experience with over 10 years in commercial law. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Pristina, Law Faculty and an LL.M. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a Ph.D. from the University of Prishtina and is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Law Department of the Law Faculty where she teaches business and contract law, intellectual property law and arbitration law. She was a VIS Moot participant in 2004 representing the Law Faculty of the University of Prishtina and she also coached teams of the Law Faculty for the VIS Moot Competition. Mrs. Plakolli-Kasumi serves on the list of arbitrators of the Permanent Tribunal of Arbitration attached to the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and is an author of several publications in the field of arbitration. She is fluent in Albanian, English, Turkish, and Serbian languages.

Mr James Plotkin

James Plotkin is a bilingual litigation and disputes partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. He holds an LL.L., J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Ottawa and enjoys the distinct honour of having been an oralist on the winning team at the 22nd Vis Moot. James has been coaching the Ottawa Team ever since. With an academic background grounded primarily in commercial, intellectual property and technology law, James's practice includes international and domestic commercial arbitration and litigation, intellectual property, administrative law and insolvency law. Ms Pirkka-Marja Põldvere

Pirkka-Marja Põldvere is an attorney-at-law and a partner at LEADELL Pilv Law Office, Estonia. Her practice areas include general commercial counseling and dispute resolution. She has been acting as a counsel to a party in arbitration, as well as an arbitrator.

Ms Chelsea Pollard

Chelsea Pollard, International Case Counsel at the AIAC and member of the California State Bar (December 2018), graduated Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. At the AIAC, she manages arbitration, including fast-track arbitration, mediation, and adjudication cases, and liaises with counsels and arbitrators to ensure procedural efficiency and provide assistance. Dr Tom Christopher Pröstler

Tom Christopher Pröstler acts in international arbitration proceedings under all major arbitration rules, in particular ICC, HKIAC, DIS and UNCITRAL Rules. He has special expertise advising clients with regard to large infrastructure and plant construction projects and on technology related disputes. A further focus of his practice are conflicts between western and Asian parties. In this regard, he also has good expertise in distribution, corporate, white-collar crime and post-M&A matters. Mr Stan Putter

Stan Putter is a partner in the International Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. Most of his work involves acting as counsel or arbitrator in international arbitrations and as counsel in arbitration related litigation.

Dr Ajar Rab

Ms Lucia Raimanova

Lucia is a solicitor-advocate of England & Wales specialising in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration. Ms Camille Ramos-Klee

Camille Ramos-Klee is an independent tribunal secretary and a New York qualified attorney who focuses her practice on international commercial and investor-state arbitration. Mr Julian Ranetunge

Julian works in international arbitration at King & Spalding. His practice involves investor-State and commercial arbitration, as well as enforcement and cross-border litigation. She graduated at University of Montenegro, Faculty of Law, with an average grade 9.00 in Bachelor studies and 10.00 in Specialist studies. She continued her education in Great Britain, at Swansea University, as a Chevening Scholar, where she obtained her Master's degree with "distinction". Due to the achieved success, the Faculty awarded her with the recognition that she is one of the best 10% of students at the Institute of Trade and Maritime Law of the 2019/2020 generation, and the "HFW" law office from London presented her with an award because she achieved the highest grade in the subject carriage of goods by sea, air and road.

Mr Ahmed Rasekh

Ahmed Rasekh is an Associate at Shehata & Partners Law Firm, working in the Arbitration & Renewable Energy practices. He obtained his LLB from Cairo University – English Section – in 2018. Marten Rauscher is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Law at University of Hamburg.
He studied at University of Hamburg until 2019, when he passed the first state exam, specializing in law and economics. During his studies, he spent one semester abroad at Kobe University, Japan. Marten participated in the 25th Willem C. Vis Moot and has been a member of the Vis Alumni Association of University of Hamburg ever since. Mr Ryan Reetz

Ryan Reetz, the managing partner of Bryan Cave's Miami (USA) office, represents clients as trial counsel in international and domestic commercial and regulatory disputes. Ms Michele Riley

Michele S. Riley has over 30 years of international legal experience from working with international law firms in New York and Tokyo, Japan, specializing in commercial transactions and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, both in private practice and as general counsel of a U.S.-based subsidiary of a Japanese multinational.

Ms. Riley is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and serves as an ADR Neutral for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, the American Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and several court-annexed mediation programs, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Jurij Santschi is a Prosecutor in the Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Ana Sofía Sapiña studied Law at Universidad Panamericana and is in the process of finishing her dissertation. With over four years of experience in dispute resolution, Ana Sofía has focused her practice in complex commercial arbitrations in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. She has actively participated in the Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot representing Universidad Panamericana’s team, which she currently coaches. Ingeborg Schwenzer is Dean of Swiss International Law School and Professor emerita of Private Law at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia, and has been an adjunct professor at City University, Hong Kong, and at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. She has published numerous books and more than 200 articles in the fields of law of obligations (contracts, tort law and unjust enrichment, sales law both domestic and international), commercial arbitration as well as family law. In particular, she is the editor and main contributor of the world's leading Commentary on the Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) (4th edition, Oxford, OUP: 2016) and its German, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish counterparts. Ms Simona Scipioni

Simona Scipioni is currently an Associate at Saccucci& Partners and her practice focuses on international and domestic commercial arbitration as well as investment arbitration. Ms Lucia Scripcari

Lucia Scripcari is a Moldovan citizen who obtained a law degree in Istanbul. Currently she is working in the arbitration department in a law firm and pursuing her LLM degree in Private Law at Koc University in Istanbul. I have a rich background in international law, starting with my active participation in the 24th Vis Moot and later coaching the University of Graz's team for the 25th and 26th editions. I have always been inclined towards international commercial arbitration and for this reason represented my college as an orator at the 26th Willem C Vis Moot at Vienna. Ms Alefiyah Shipchandler

Currently working as an Associate at Keystone Partners, Mumbai and involved in civil/ commercial litigation and also domestic and international arbitration. I have represented clients in engineering, construction, partnership and other such commercial arbitrations and am an active YSIAC member.
I am an Associate Editor for the ILS Centre for Arbitration Blog and have also written articles and posts on various issues relating to ADR.

I was a member of the winning team of the 15th Willem C Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, where I also received an honorable mention for Best Speaker. Mr Kyle Sill

Kyle Sill is a Senior Law Clerk to Judge Susan L. Kelsey at Florida's First District Court of Appeal in the United States, and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. He is the coach of the Florida State University College of Law Vis team, and he teaches International Sales & Arbitration at the College of Law. Kyle spent two years in Clermont-Ferrand, France, teaching International Sales and United States Constitutional Law, among other courses. He has also taught courses on appellate law and practice as well as legal research and writing. Kyle has published articles and presented on the CISG, non-compete agreements, legal research, drafting, advocacy, and a variety of other substantive topics. He is a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.

Ms CHRISTINE SIM

Christine is currently an associate in the international arbitration team of Herbert Smith Freehills New York. She has disputes experience in Singapore, Paris and New York. She has represented commercial clients in courts, clerked for arbitrators in investment disputes, and performed counsel work in international arbitrations. She has also presented her public international law research at conferences, and published articles on security for costs, investment valuation and maritime boundaries.

Mr Frederico Singarajah

I practice as a barrister and arbitrator in London, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney. Experienced in a variety of international arbitrations, I have advised, represented and been appointed by parties, arbitrators and institutions in international arbitrations, including under PCA, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SCC, VIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, CAM-CCBC and LMAA rules. Miss Aayushi Singh

Aayushi Singh completed a double degree in International arbitration from the National University of Singapore, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and University of Geneva. She is a recipient of a full scholarship by the Aga Khan Development Network (2018-2019) for her higher studies. She also received a full scholarship to pursue the Austrian Arbitration Academy, 2019 offered by the Sommerhochschule, University of Vienna.

She pursued her seminal thesis at NUS under the supervision of Prof. M Sornarajah on the topic “Transparency in the Asian arbitration regime – the way ahead.” Her thesis in Geneva was titled “Fragmentation of BITs and the scope for multilateral convergence” and was supervised by Prof. Fuad Zarbiyev.

She has worked as a trainee for two reputed Swiss arbitration firms. While pursuing her LL.M. in Singapore, she worked as an attachee with Rajah and Tann and Allen and Gledhill, two of Singapore’s Big 4 firms. She also worked as an International Arbitration Trainee with the Asian International Arbitration Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to her LL.M., she graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, India with an Award of Appreciation for being the Academic Topper for 2015-2016.

Mr Ananya Pratap Singh

This is Ananya Pratap Singh, an Indian lawyer and arbitrator, currently engaged with CSL Chambers, Delhi. I was called to the Bar Council of India in 2017 and to the Bar Council of Delhi, India in 2016. I was awarded the Member grade by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators in 2018. Mr Ankit Singh

Ankit Singh is an associate in the dispute resolution team of Rab & Rab Associates LLP, Advocates & Solicitors, Dehradun. Narmdeshwar Singh is trained at Debevoise & Plimpton's office in London. Prior to that, he has worked at a leading arbitration boutique Three Crowns in London. He is qualified Indian qualified lawyer and has extensive experience in the investor-state arbitration and commercial arbitration. He's been involved in arbitrations seated in Singapore, Munich, Hamburg, London, Paris, India and the Hague.

He is a founding member of the Centre for Advanced Research in Dispute Settlement (CARDS). He has spearheaded many international conferences in London, Singapore, and Paris, to name a few. He was awarded an "A" type scholarship to study International Law at Xiamen Academy of International Law, China. He has authored many articles in journals of national and international repute. His primary areas of practice are Investment Arbitration, Commercial Arbitration, and Public International Law.

Mr Shubham Singhal

I am an Indian qualified lawyer. I hold B.A. LL.B (2017) from IMS, School of Law, Dehradun, India and MLB, i.e. Master of Law and Business (2019) from Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, Germany with a concentration in International Commercial Arbitration. My master thesis was focused on international commercial arbitration under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefan Kröll and Prof. Clifford Larsen.
Prior to commencing the MLB, I worked for three years as a lawyer in the dispute resolution in India, primarily handling commercial litigation and commercial arbitration disputes. Currently, I am practicing as a Counsel with particular emphasis on Commercial Litigation and Arbitration in India.

Mr Vishal Singhal

Mr. Vishal Singhal is an independent practitioner based out in New Delhi, India practising before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, District Courts and Tribunals in Delhi. His interest lies in Criminal Laws, Constitutional Laws, White Collar Crimes and Arbitration Laws.

He has contributed research articles in various journals and also presented them. Ms Titilope Sinmi-Adetona

I am a young professional with an avid interest in effective dispute resolution and conflict management, particularly, arbitration and mediation. I am a Senior Legal Counsel at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC). I completed the Comparative and International Dispute Resolution LLM at Queen Mary University of London in December 2019 and is a qualified barrister and solicitor in Nigeria. Ms Ramona Sorgenfrei

Ramona Sorgenfrei is an Associate at the Clifford Chance Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Dusseldorf focusing on IP related disputes, and a doctoral candidate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Schmidt-Kessel at the University of Bayreuth. She studied law with additional training in economics at the University of Bayreuth and passed the first state examination in July 2017 and her second state examination in August 2022.

As a former assistant of Prof. Dr. Schmidt-Kessel, she became interested in the CISG quite early and has worked and researched in this field in depth. Ramona is a former Vis Moot participant (22nd Vis Moot) and has been coaching the team of the University of Bayreuth ever since. Dr Jan Erik Spangenberg

Mr Florian Stefan

Florian Stefan is an attorney at law at Vavrovsky Heine Marth. Mr Dimitar Stoimenov

After graduating in law from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsky" and accomplishing L.LM. programm in German law Dimitar spent five years (from 2003 to 2009) at the European Legal Studies Institute in Osnabrueck as reasearch assistant at the European Legal Studies Institute, chaired by Prof. Dr. Christian von Bar, and has been working for the Study Group on an Europen Civil Code (contributing to the academic DCFR).
At the end of 2009 Dimitar started as a senior lawyer at one of the internation and reputable law firms in CEE - Peterka and Partners and has been appointed lecturer in law of obligations/civil law at the University of Sofia. Mr Marius Stucki

Marius Stucki is a Zurich based lawyer primarily working in the fields of international commercial arbitration and China-related corporate matters. He was coach of the University of Bern's Vis-Moot team from 2014 to 2016.

Marius holds degrees from the Universities of Geneva and Bern, a PhD from the University of Bern and an LLM from Peking University. He was admitted to the bar in 2016. As a law student at the University of Bern, he participated at the 20th Vis-Moot in 2012/13.

Mr Matthew Suen

Matthew is a barrister in Hong Kong SAR, China. He has received both common law and civil law education in Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China. Matthew has developed, through practice, experiences in international (cross-border) commercial and investment arbitration and matters involving PRC (Mainland) Law. He has been instructed as Counsel to advise and represent individuals of high net worth and corporate clients in arbitrations administered by major arbitral institutions in Asia, e.g. HKIAC, SIAC, and CIETAC (HK).

Assoc Prof Dr Ceyda Süral Efeçınar

Ass. Prof. Dr. Ceyda Süral has finished her LLB in Dokuz Eylül University and LLM in Stockholm University. She obtained her PhD degree from Dokuz Eylül University on private law. She has worked as a research assistant at Dokul Eylül University Faculty of Law. Since 2009, she is working as an assistant professor in the department of private international law at Kadir Has University Faculty of Law. She has published two books; UNIDROIT Principles as Applicable Law to International Commercial Contracts; and The Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments within the European Union. She has a number of articles in the fields of international litigation, international arbitration, law of foreigners and international commercial law. She has participated the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition first as a student team member in 1999 and since three years she is coaching the Kadir Has University team. Dr. Süral is lecturing on private international law, international trade law and international commercial arbitration law at Kadir Has University. She is also a lecturer at Salzburg University European Private Law Summer School and she has given lectures on international litigation at Coimbra University.

Mrs Elif Bilge Suri

Ms Caroline Swartz-Zern

Caroline Swartz-Zern is an overseas lawyer in the Commercial Litigation group of Allens (in an alliance with Linklaters) in Melbourne, Australia, where she practices international arbitration and general dispute resolution. Prior to joining Allens, she worked in the Major Projects and Construction group at another firm, and the Dispute Resolution team of King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong. She is dual educated in the United States and France, and previously worked in Paris. She has published on issues related to investor-state and commercial arbitration, and lectured in Paris and Hong Kong. She is a member of the New York State Bar.

Mr Kamil Szumilas

I am currently working as a Legal Advisor (UK & EMEA region) at Aon. Before that, I worked as a Junior Associate at Dentons in Warsaw, Poland (Franchise Group, Retail Group. In August 2019 I graduated cum laude from the LLM International Civil and Commercial Law programme at Leiden University and received the award for the best thesis ("Trade Secrets under the laws of the United Kingdom and the EU Trade Secrets Directive: Protecting Employee Mobility"). During my Master's studies, I participated in the 26th Vis Moot as a member of Leiden's team. In 2018 I obtained an LLB (first class honours) from De Montfort University Leicester which I had the pleasure to represent at the UK's National Client Interviewing Competition.

Dr Amer Tabbara

Dr. Amer is an assistant professor of commercial law and Arbitration at Prince Mohamed Ben Fahed University and an International Legal Consultant. A member of Beirut Bar since 2009, he holds a BA in Law from the Lebanese University - the French Section - a Master’s Degree in Private International and International Commercial law from Assas University (Paris II) in France and an LLM in International and Comparative Dispute Resolution from the University of London in the United Kingdom. Dr. Amer has also completed his PhD in International Private Law and International Arbitration from the Sorbonne University (Paris 1) in France.

Dr Amer research interests include international litigation and arbitration, commercial law, AI and Law and construction law. As an International Legal Consultant who has worked between Lebanon and Qatar, Dr Amer has gained a substantive experience in advising and representing clients before both state and arbitration /adjudicative bodies, in domestic, regional and international disputes, under various governing laws. Dr. Amer advises clients on construction projects and can be involved at any stage from negotiation to dispute avoidance or resolution

Ms Tishta Tandon

Tishta is an India qualified lawyer specialising in civil litigation, arbitration and pre-dispute advisory and is currently pursuing the Master of Law (LLM) program at the University of Cambridge. She has previously worked as a key member of the dispute resolution practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) where she regularly advised companies on commercial disputes involving high stakes and appeared before the the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, company law tribunals and institutional and ad-hoc arbitral tribunals. Tishta participated in the 24th Vis Moot where she was awarded Honourable Mention as an Oralist and her team was adjudged to be the best team of the preliminary rounds in Vienna. Since then, she has coached several teams, including the team from National Law University, Delhi which was a semi-finalist in the 28th Vis Moot. Tishta is also coaching the team representing University of Cambridge in the 30th Vis Moot.

Dr Minli Tang

Dual qualified in mainland China and in New York State, Minli has practiced in dispute resolution (especially international arbitration) for years. Recently, Minli has been appointed as a Regional Representative of the ICC YAF. Minli is also a committee member of the Beihai Asia International Arbitration Centre (BAIAC, Singapore), a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA).

Minli has represented and advised clients in arbitration under the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, AIAC, CIETAC and China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) rules as well as under the Terms of the LMAA. Minli has also frequently represented clients in Chinese domestic court litigation and participated in the handling of cases in the English High Court and Court of Appeal.

Ms Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth (Liz) Taylor is an Associate at Reed Smith LLP in Pittsburgh, PA focusing her practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Liz works primarily on commercial policyholder coverage disputes, assisting clients in obtaining insurance coverage for catastrophic losses in domestic and international forums. Liz also assists with government investigations, financial services and securities disputes, and commercial contract disputes. Dr David Tebel

David TEBEL is co-founder and partner at international dispute resolution boutique rothorn legal. He advises and represents clients in complex proceedings before arbitral tribunals and state courts, both domestic and international. He has broad experience with industrial product liability cases – particularly governed by international sales law, large-scale infrastructure projects and corporate disputes.

Mr Oleg TEMNIKOV

Mrs Chloé Terrapon

Chloé Terrapon is a managing associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Team of Walder Wyss Ltd, Zurich, where she represents clients in domestic and international proceedings. She specializes in complex cross-border disputes relating to contract, commercial and insolvency law, as well as white-collar crimes. Ms Leah Thomas

Leah is an Indian qualified lawyer. She is currently pursuing the Geneva LL.M in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). Prior to this, she worked as a Law Clerk-cum- Research Assistant to judges of the Indian Supreme Court. As a Law Clerk, Leah assisted the Judges by briefing them on a diverse range of matters pertaining to constitutional law, criminal law and arbitration petitions among others; drafting reserved judgments and composing speeches to be delivered by them.

Dr Paul A. Tichauer

Founding Chair of the Canada Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2017, Dr. Paul Tichauer is a member of the Standing Committee of the ICC International Center for ADR in Paris and an active independent arbitrator. Recent appointments include sitting as Sole Arbitrator for the ICC and as Public Arbitrator for FINRA – the Financial Regulatory Authority in the USA. In addition, in 2018 Dr. Tichauer was appointed as the official Observer for the CIArb at UNCITRAL Working Group ll on the Settlement of Commercial Disputes and at UNCITRAL Working Group lll on Investor-State Dispute Settlement reform. Dr Gregory Travaini

Gregory joined Herbert Smith Freehills in July 2012 (seconded to the firm's Hong Kong office 2018-2019), after formerly acting as Deputy Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, working as a Research Assistant to Professor J. Mr Evaristo Treviño Berlanga

Evaristo Treviño Berlanga graduated from law school from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2005). He holds a Certificate in Negotiation, Mediation and Arbitration from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (2004) and a Master of Laws in Chinese and Comparative Law from City University of Hong Kong (2007).

In Mexico he practiced litigation and arbitration for over four years. In Hong Kong he worked for two years in a law firm in the China Practice area. In 2009 he founded La Nao Group, a firm based in Hong Kong integrated by Chinese, Mexican, Argentine, Spanish and Colombian lawyers servicing Latin-American companies dealing in China and Chinese companies dealing with Latin America. He is constantly involved in international disputes and potential disputes between Chinese and Latin American firms.

He is an associate member at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has participated in 2015 UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Conferences and 2016 UNCITRAL Trade Law Forum in Incheon, Korea as well as several arbitration events in Hong Kong.

Miss Eirini Tsoutsou

Eirini is an associate in Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan’s London office. Her practice focuses on international commercial and investor-state arbitration. In that context, she has represented both sovereign states and private entities, including entities acting in the banking, energy, and telecommunications sectors. Eirini has also acted for high net worth individuals in the context of estate litigation before the English courts. Eirini has acted in arbitrations under several procedural rules, including LCIA, ICC, and UNCITRAL, as well as in complex multi-party disputes.

Dr Johan Tufte-Kristensen

Johan Tufte-Kristensen is a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. His teaching and research concerns dispute resolution and conflicts of interest. He currently represents the Danish government in UNCITRAL’s Working Group II dealing with arbitration and conciliation, and he regularly provides legal advice on issues related to dispute resolution. He serves as a member of several boards, including the board of Young Arbitrators Copenhagen. Johan received an LL.M. degree in February 2014 and a PhD in Law in November 2017, both from the University of Copenhagen. His master's thesis concerns the appointment of arbitrators, and his PhD thesis concerns the impartiality and independence of arbitrators. Johan has been an exchange student at Pepperdine University School of Law and a visiting scholar at the University of Texas School of Law. He has worked as a legal trainee at Bruun & Hjejle Law Firm and as an assistant attorney at Hafnia Law Firm, both in Copenhagen. Johan took part in the Vis Moot as a participant in 2011-2012. Mrs Sherlin Tung

Sherlin is a Partner in the International Arbitration and Litigation team of Withersworldwide and based in the Hong Kong office. She specializes in international commercial arbitration and advises clients in Asia, North America, and Europe on all aspects of cross-border disputes. Sherlin is also the President of the Moot Alumni Association and Deputy Director of the Vis East Moot Foundation.

Prior to joining Withers Worldwide, Sherlin worked with a leading international law firm in Hong Kong where she was a member of the international disputes practice group. Sherlin started her international arbitration career working under the direct supervision of a leading independent arbitrator in Switzerland. Thereafter, she worked for the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Hong Kong and New York, where she was a founding member of the ICC's New York case management team. Mr Santtu Turunen

Santtu Turunen is an experienced arbitration professional. He serves as an arbitrator in domestic and international disputes. He has over 22 years' experience advising on international commercial disputes and has acted as Counsel for multinationals, banks and governments in international arbitrations under most arbitral rules, including arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules seated in London, Paris and Vienna.
Jon is also a Solicitor-Advocate (Civil Proceedings) of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has substantial experience advising on proceedings in the Commercial Court in London.
Sectors and industries in which he has particular knowledge and experience include energy (oil, gas and renewables), life sciences (pharma and biopharma, including gene therapy programmes), manufacturing and engineering, banking and finance, retail, hospitality and professional services.
Jon studied law at Downing College, Cambridge University, before training and practising at the London office of Allen & Overy LLP for over 10 years. Jon joined Addleshaw Goddard LLP in 2007.
As well as maintaining his Counsel practice, he sits as an arbitrator.
Jon is recognised as a leading individual in international arbitration in Who's Who Legal: Arbitration (2021).
