Mr Mateo Noseda

I'm an attorney at the firm Guyer & Regules in Montevideo, and I practise in the Litigation and Arbitration department. I am a former VIS mootie, as I was oralist for the University of Montevideo team in the 21st and 22nd moot, advancing to the round of 64 and 16, respectively. I'm currently coach of the University of Montevideo team, both for the VIS moot and the Latin America International Commercial Arbitration Moot. I performed as an arbitrator in the FDI Moot held in Buenos Aires in November 2016, where I arbitrated in general rounds, round of 16 and Quarter Finals.
I'm passionate about international commercial arbitration and it is my strong intention to make a career in such area. The VIS moot has been for me very inspiring in such regard, and I would like to continue forming part of the moot for many years. I´ve wanted to be an arbitrator in the moot since my first year as an oralist, so this application is the first step to continue forming part of the moot, now in another role.
For me, international arbitration is paramount in today´s world, being the cultural exchange essential for learning law more and more.
