Zana Ahmetgjekaj is a lawyer specialized in business, competition and regulatory law and a Certified Privacy Professional CIPP/E. Navin is a practice development manager in international arbitration at Pinsent Masons MPillay LLP and is the Vice President of the Moot Alumni Association (MAA). He earned his doctorate focusing on guerrilla tactics in international commercial arbitration and has subsequently published a book entitled “Taming the Guerrilla in International Commercial Arbitration: Levelling a Playing Field”, endorsed by well-known arbitration practitioners. Wala is an arbitrator, delay expert witness and lecturer with a wealth of construction experience in the UK and the Middle East. He currently lectures construction law and project planning, at postgraduate and undergraduate level, at the University of Westminster. Mileslava Bogdanova-Misheva graduated with honors a Master of Laws at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is currently working as an associate at a law firm in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a member of the Sofia Bar Association since 2016 and works as an associate at a Bulgarian law firm.

Education and Professional Career:
He initially trained as a French lawyer (1977 – 1981). He holds titles from the Universities of Paris (Licencé en Droit 1980, Maître en Droit 1981).
He studied in the United States at Harvard University (LL.M. 1983) and took the New York Bar Exam (1983/84). Until today, he is a member of the New York Bar.
After a year in an international law firm in Washington D.C. (concentrating on a large international oil dispute against the state of Iran), Eckart registered as an U.S. attorney in Germany while he studied at Hamburg University (1984 – 1987).
Following the first state exam, he first clerked at the Court of Appeal in Hamburg for two and a half years and then practiced international business law in a major law firm until he was offered partnership.
In 1996, Eckart founded the BRÖDERMANN JAHN law firm as a spin-off. Shortly thereafter he was joined by his former senior partner Erhard Jahn.
In parallel, Eckart went on writing and teaching. In 1994, the University of Hamburg had awarded him the title of a Doctor Iuris.
In 2011, Eckart became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London).

Thera Dieleman (1988) grew up as a Dutch citizen in Germany. She is a real estate lawyer in a notary firm in the east of the Netherlands, which focuses on cross-border cases between the Netherlands and Germany. Before she has been a lecturer in Private Law at Maastricht University, Radboud University Nijmegen, both the Netherlands, and Hasselt University, Belgium, for 3,5 years. In 2009, she obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics from Utrecht University. In 2013, she graduated from Leiden University, having completed Masters in Civil Law and Philosophy of Law. During her masters in Civil Law she got interested in arbitration and has done empirical research on the use of arbitration and mediation within a multinational.
During her studies, she was among other things a student-assistant in the library of the Dutch Supreme Court in The Hague.

She is a former participant in the 20th Vis Moot and was twice an arbitrator in Vienna and twice during the virtual editions. All the times in Vienna she enjoyed the great international atmosphere, the nice people she met and hopefully will see again. She really looks forward to come back to Vienna and experiences the moot again as an arbitrator.

In the time since, I have kept in contact with many of those I met during my time at Vis, and regularly see my fellow Vis teammates to catch up and reminiscence about the times we shared in preparing for the moot, and more so the times and memories we shared while there. In 2019, Ms. El Ghadban obtained a masters degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in International Economic Law. In 2020, Ms. El Ghadban obtained a masters degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Comparative Law. Her first exposure to arbitration was as an intern in the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration. Since, she has had numerous internships in international law firms in Cairo and Paris, specifically in the arbitration department.

In 2018, Ms. El Ghadban participated as a mootie in the 15th Vis East Moot. That year, as an administrator of her university's moot club, she organised the 4th annual local IDAI moot court. Tarek El Ghadban is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Cairo University, and an associate lecturer at the Sorbonne Law School and the University of Osnabrück. Currently based in Paris, Myriam has been for the last 2 years a startup accelerator in the electrification industry focussed on building responsible metals&mining supply chains for li-ion batteries. Myriam was a commodities trader for 7 years with a track record in thermal coal, rare earths and battery metals namely with Noble Group. She travelled extensively in Asia and grew trading and investment portfolios successfully, negotiating complex contracts structures, managing cross-functional teams in diverse geographical locations, and building collaborative partnerships.

Previously, Myriam worked 7 years in the financial services sector as a capital markets in-house counsel, then as a distressed debt trader in Paris, finally as a risk management consultant in London. In those years Myriam acquired strong skills in finance and law e.g. European MiFID and Prospectus directives application, ISDA contracts standardisation, SPVs and securitisation vehicles set-up, Basel III capital adequacy.

A Fellow of the CIArb, Myriam has a dual academic background: she holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of International Economic Law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon – Sorbonne following an undergraduate degree in private law at the Université Saint-Joseph of Beirut, Lebanon.

Hesham is an academic and a professional lawyer in the fields of private international law, arbitration and competiton law.

Hesham is currently an Assistant Lecturer of private international law at Cairo University.

Hesham is also an Associate in the arbitration and competition teams at Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy. Hesham handles international and domestic arbitration cases under various rules, including ICC, LCIA, ICSID, CRCICA and UNCITRAL, in relation to disputes involving oil and gas agreements, share purchase agreements, telecommunications, construction, pharmaceuticals, maritime, and international investment in Egyptian and Saudi law jurisdictions. Furthermore, Hesham works on enforcement proceedings of arbitral awards before Egyptian courts.

Hesham also handles a multiplicity of competition law matters and disputes within the competiton practice at Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy, and deals with the legal and economic analysis of cartels, vertical agreements, abuse of dominance. During her undergraduate studies, Elisabeth worked as a legal intern at DOCIP (under the United Nations Organisation), devoted her free time to volunteering at a local law clinic, and was also an active member of AIESEC and Amnesty International. She ranked as a finalist in a Swiss law student competition, Lawbility, in negotiation and client interview. Aiming to gain more practical soft skills, she participated in various Model United Nations simulations, as well as a Model European Union simulation in Belgrade.

During her postgraduate studies, Elisabeth was a member of the University of Geneva team in the 25th edition of the Vis Moot. She spent 6 months interning at the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) and worked as a Paralegal in a boutique arbitration law firm in Geneva between February 2019 and February 2020. In July 2021, Elisabeth completed her traineeship with LALIVE's litigation team, following which she passed the Geneva bar exam in October 2021. Since November 2021, she is a part of LALIVE’s arbitration team, as an Associate.
