Mr Kadi Abdurakhmanov

Kadi Abdurakhmanov works as an in-house counsel at Four Seasons Hotels and Resort in Moscow since October, 2016. After spending one year and a half in hospitality industry, Kadi knows how the sector works and what kind of business model meets high request of clients and partners the best. Dr Nevi Agapiou

Dr. Agapiou holds a PhD, an LLM in International Commercial Law and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Leicester, UK. Mr Wala Al-Daraji

Wala is an arbitrator, delay expert witness and lecturer with a wealth of construction experience in the UK and the Middle East. He currently lectures construction law and project planning, at postgraduate and undergraduate level, at the University of Westminster. He also supervises master’s degree dissertations in delay and construction claims.
His research interests include third party litigation funding, international investment arbitration and customary international law.
In addition to his involvement in academia, he acts as an arbitrator in construction and transport disputes both in the UK and internationally. Ms Nevin Alija

Nevin Alija is a PhD Researcher at the Research Centre for the Future of the Law, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon and a Researcher at the Research Center on Law and Society of the Faculty of Law (Centro de Investigação e Desenvolvimento sobre Direito e Sociedade (CEDIS)) of the NOVA School of Law. She is also one of the cofounders of the Nova Law Green Lab, which aims to promote research, information and knowledge production in the intersection between energy, environment and urbanism.
As part of her work at the Nova School of Law she is a Teaching Assistant for the subject Moot Courts part of the Master’s Degree in Arbitration and Litigation. Omar Aljazy holds a Ph.D. in International Commercial Arbitration Law from the University of Kent, UK, an LLM in International and Comparative Business Law from London Guildhall University, and a BA in Law from University of Jordan. He is an international business lawyer enjoying extensive practical expertise in international transactions, intellectual property, construction disputes, shipping and maritime issues, competition and antitrust matters.

Dr Gizem Alper

Dr. Gizem Alper attended the Bilkent University Faculty of Law. She has her master’s degree in Law and Economics and her doctorate degree in Private Law both from the Bilkent University Faculty of Law, where she was a teaching and research assistant at the Civil Law Department during her studies. She is currently rendering her post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Mr Ibrahim Alturki

Ibrahim Alturki is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge focusing on international commercial arbitration and finance. He is a founding board member and the current president of the Cambridge Arbitration Society(CUArb) and a co-coach of the Cambridge team to the Vis Moot. He has over 5 years of experience in litigation, arbitration and cross border disputes and 5 years of teaching experience.

Previously, Ibrahim was a blog editor and a managing editor at the Cambridge International Law Journal. He was also an academic lecturer in commercial law at Qassim University in Saudi Arabia where he taught corporate law, international trade law, dispute resolution, civil procedure and private international law among other courses. My name is Spyridon Batzios and I am a Greek qualified Lawyer since 2015. Dr Ilka Beimel

Ilka is an associate with Noerr in Düsseldorf, Germany, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Basel. Within her thesis she focused on independence and impartiality in international commercial arbitration.

Ilka has gained considerable experience in international commercial and investment arbitration. In 2018, Ilka was a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School in New York and worked as a research assistant for Prof. Bermann. Dr Affef Ben Mansour

Mr. Benclinov graduated in law from the University of Bucharest in 1998, when he also became a member of the Bucharest Bar Association. In 2002 he founded "Benclinov&Associates", which is a medium size law firm located in Bucharest, Romania. In 2004, Mr. Benclinov received a scholarship to the UNIDROIT Institute - Rome focuses on "Culpa in Contrahendo in International Commercial Contracts".

Tess Bens is a Research Assistant at the Department of Civil Procedural Law at the University of Vienna. Gary L. Benton is an internationally recognized Arbitrator with expertise in international business, corporate investment, technology and emerging growth matters. He has handled hundreds of cases around the world and serves on the panels of the leading international arbitral institutions in the US, Europe and Asia. In addition, he is the founder and Chairman of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC), a non-profit educational foundation based in Palo Alto, California that serves the global technology sector.

She is a fully qualified Belarussian lawyer and an authorised legal advisor in foreign law in Germany. Elena Bezelgues is an independent legal practitioner. Mr. Bigge is an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of State. He is currently based in Washington working in the Office of UN Affairs. From 2016 to 2019, Mr. Bigge served in The Hague as the U.S. Agent to the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal and Deputy Agent in two cases before the ICJ. His portfolio also included representations of US interests at the PCA. Prior to this position, he represented the United States for six years in investor-state arbitration and advised on commercial arbitration matters. Before joining the U.S. government, Mr. Bigge spent nine years in private practice in New York, specializing in commercial arbitration and litigation for and against sovereigns. Mr. Bigge was also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center (2013-2015), where he taught Advanced Topics in International Arbitration, and he frequently publishes articles on various international arbitration subjects. Mr. Bigge is a Vis Moot alumnus, representing Harvard as an oralist in the semi-finals in 2001. Mr Thomas James Biscomb

Thomas James Biscomb is an associate at Armesto & Asociados, a boutique of arbitrators with an international and independent profile and a good business sense, founded by Juan Fernández-Armesto. Thomas acts as secretary and assistant to arbitral tribunals in arbitration proceedings, including domestic and international arbitrations, involving both commercial and investment disputes. Ms Cătălina Bîzîc

Catalina is an international arbitration lawyer, a member of the New York bar, with both civil law and common law background. She practices international commercial and investor-state arbitration, focusing on energy disputes, and is currently based in Bucharest. Catalina has previously practiced at leading international arbitration practices in Frankfurt, London and Dubai.

Catalina serves as the Co-Chair of Young Romanian Arbitration Practitioners (YRAP) for 2023-2025. She is also speaker on international arbitration topics, including as an arbitrator and coach for the Willem C. Vis competition. She first participated in 2016 with the University of Bucharest team which she coached afterwards. Catalina coached the winning team (Penn State Law) at the 27th Willem C. Vis competition in Vienna.

Professor Andrea Bjorklund

Andrea K. Bjorklund is the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law at McGill University Faculty of Law. She is an adviser to the American Law Institute’s project on restating the U.S. law of international commercial arbitration. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Investment Treaty Forum of the British Institute for International and Comparative Law She is on the panel of arbitrators of the International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association. Professor Bjorklund is widely published in investment law and dispute resolution and transnational contracts.

Prior to entering the academy she was an attorney-adviser on the NAFTA arbitration team in the Office of the Legal Adviser of the U.S. Department of State. Jeremy Bloomenthal is an American attorney with approximately 15 years of professional experience, including seven years overseas in Asia and Europe. I am an associate with Borris Hennecke Kneisel - a boutique arbitration firm based in Cologne, Germany. I participated in the 21st Vis Moot as a student. After graduating from law school, I worked as a research assistant for Prof. Klaus Peter Berger at the University of Cologne focusing on International Arbitration and International Trade Law. At the same time, I also coached the Vis Moot Team of the University of Cologne for three years.

Mrs Mileslava Bogdanovа

Mileslava Bogdanova-Misheva graduated with honors a Master of Laws at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is currently working as an associate at a law firm in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a member of the Sofia Bar Association since 2016 and works as an associate at a Bulgarian law firm.
She is one of the pioneers who established the presence of the Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot in Bulgaria. Mileslava was a team member of the Sofia University team consequently in the 19th and 20th edition of the competition and has been co-coaching the team since 2013. In 2015 the team from Sofia University was among those awarded "honorable mention" for Memorandum for Respondent and in 2016 the team was awarded for its Memorandum for Claimant.
She has been an arbitrator at the Belgrade Open Pre-Moot since 2014 and at the Sofia Vis Pre-Moot in Bulgaria since 2015. Mileslava has been arbitarting at the Vis Moot's general rounds in Vienna for the past three editions of the Moot and she has been also evaluating written memoranda for years now.

Mr Julian Bordaçahar

Mr. Julian Bordaçahar works as Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) at The Hague and is the PCA Representative in the Argentine Republic, where he Heads the PCA Buenos Aires Office. Professor Dr. Eckart Brödermann, LL.M. Education and Professional Career:
He initially trained as a French lawyer (1977 – 1981). He holds titles from the Universities of Paris (Licencé en Droit 1980, Maître en Droit 1981).
He studied in the United States at Harvard University (LL.M. 1983) and took the New York Bar Exam (1983/84). Until today, he is a member of the New York Bar.
After a year in an international law firm in Washington D.C. (concentrating on a large international oil dispute against the state of Iran), Eckart registered as an U.S. attorney in Germany while he studied at Hamburg University (1984 – 1987).
Following the first state exam, he first clerked at the Court of Appeal in Hamburg for two and a half years and then practiced international business law in a major law firm until he was offered partnership.
In 1996, Eckart founded the BRÖDERMANN JAHN law firm as a spin-off. Shortly thereafter he was joined by his former senior partner Erhard Jahn.
In parallel, Eckart went on writing and teaching. In 1994, the University of Hamburg had awarded him the title of a Doctor Iuris.
In 2011, Eckart became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London).

Mr Avineet Singh Chawla

Avineet is an Assistant Lecturer at Jindal Global Law School, India. Avineet completed his LL.M from Queen Mary University of London with a specialization in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution. His dissertation was titled ‘A Pragmatic analysis of criticisms against Investor-State Dispute Settlement System’. He has a strong inclination and keen interest in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution. He has been handling significant research and seminar assignments in this field. Associate Professor Siyuan Chen

Siyuan obtained his LLB (First Class) from the National University of Singapore and LLM from Harvard. He is an Associate Professor with the Singapore Management University School of Law. His teaching and research interests lie in evidence law and appellate litigation.

Miss Grace Cheng

Grace is a barrister in London, a qualified Hong Kong solicitor, and has been granted rights of audience before the AIFC Court in Kazakhstan. She can advise on both English law and Hong Kong law. In addition to speaking fluent English, Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese, Grace has a working knowledge of French and Spanish, and previously assisted at the WTO ministerial conference.

Grace is on various panels, registries and databases of arbitrators including BAIAC (Singapore); CACM (Mozambique); DIFC-LCIA (Dubai); FINRA (US/Puerto Rico); ICC (UK); LCIA (London); LMAA (London); PIAC (Vietnam); Sport Resolutions (International); and SCC (Stockholm). I am an Indian qualified lawyer based out of New Delhi. Post qualification, I pursued a LLM in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) from where I graduated with a distinction in 2018. After QMUL, I moved back to India. In the past 4 years I have worked in the disputes/international arbitration teams of two reputed Indian law firms, Kachwaha and Partners and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas. In July 2022, I segued into independent counsel practice with a focus on civil/commercial litigation and domestic/international arbitration. My practise is based in New Delhi but I work pan India. While being at QMUL, I represented the institution at the 25th Vis Moot in Vienna. My team placed 11th in the overall team rankings and reached the round of 16. I received an Honorable Mention in the Martin Domke Best Oralist Category. I have been coaching regularly at the VIS since 2019.

Ms Sushmita Chowdhury

Sushmita argued for Respondent-Procedure at the 26th Vis Moot in Vienna, as a part of the team representing Middlesex University Dubai. She completed her law degree with first class honours in September 2020, and is presently working in the arbitration practice of a Dubai law firm, and acting as one of the coaches to Middlesex Dubai’s team.
The Vis Moot paved the way for the beginning of Sushmita’s passion for arbitration. A few awards she came across in her research led to her undertaking an undergraduate dissertation on investor-State arbitration, which received a distinction, and is soon to be published.
Sushmita speaks fluent English, Hindi and Bengali.

Ms Hachikaru Chukwu

I am a solicitor practicing in various areas of law, such as International Commercial Arbitration, Information Technology Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Banking Law. I hold an LLB degree with an Upper Second Class from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and an LLM degree from the University of East Anglia, UK (2017).

I currently head the Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law department at a top Nigerian Law firm managed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and I give lectures to university students on International Oil & Gas Law and Informational Technology Law.

I participated in the 24th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, representing the University of East Anglia alongside my colleagues. I am a member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

I am very passionate about arbitration and I am happy to serve as an arbitrator in the Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Ms Eva Cibulkova

Eva Cibulková is a graduate of Pan-European University in Bratislava and currently works as an associate for the Bratislava office of one of the largest international law firms in the world, Squire Patton Boggs.

Dr René Cienciala

René Cienciala is a fully-qualified Czech based dispute resolution attorney-at-law. He has a ten year working experience and currently works as a head of international arbitration at boutique law firm Urban & Hejduk. He specialises in complex commercial disputes, including domestic litigation and arbitration, international commercial arbitration (ICC, LCIA, VIAC, UNCITRAL), investor-State arbitration (ICSID), and sports arbitration/disciplinary proceedings (CAS, UEFA). Ms Inita Cima

Inita participated in vis moot in 2016/17. She also participated in other major moot courts, as well as won 3rd place at the Frankfurt Investment Moot Court Competition in 2019 respresenting the University of Latvia team. Mr Robert Cimmino

Robert Cimmino is an associate in Watt Tieder’s McLean, Virginia office concentrating his practice in the areas of construction litigation, suretyship and government contracts. He joined Watt Tieder in 2023 after spending two years working as an associate at a general litigation firm in Fairfax, Virginia.

Robert received his J.D. and Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh where he focused on alternative dispute resolution and international arbitration. He also holds an L.L.M. in International Arbitration and Business Law from the American University Washington College of Law. During law school, he worked as a judicial intern with Justice David Wecht of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Davide Colacino is a senior associate with Lustenberger Attorneys at law KLG based in Zurich (Switzerland). He specializes in arbitration and litigation in commercial and business disputes. Channraksmeychhoukroth DANY (or “Chhoukroth”) is an Attorney-at-Law and a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Peter R. Day is an independent arbitrator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He retired from the Boeing legal depart ment after 25 years, including nine years as Chief Counsel for Boeing Computer Services. He began his legal career as a U. S. Marine Corps trial lawyer and court-martial judge, and then as a civilian prosecutor in San Mateo County, California.

He has taught international commercial arbitration at the University of Washington Law School and has taught at the MBA and undergraduate level at the Seattle University Business School. Joaquim is conducting postgraduate studies in International Relations and Diplomacy at Unisinos University. He has a certificate in Arbitration from the Pontifical University Catholic of Sao Paulo and attended the ICC Summer Course on Commercial International Arbitration in France. Joaquim has represented Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation in the Vis Moot as a student on two occasions, in 2017 and 2018. He has also participated in other competitions such as the Brazilian Arbitration Competition and the US Universities Debating Championship.

Mr Ivo de Paula Medaglia

Ivo de Paula Medaglia is an attorney and arbitrator based in Curitiba, Brazil. He is partner at Medaglia Roxo Advogados, with experience in negotiation, mediation, litigation and arbitration. Ivo holds a Master of Law degree in Private International Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). Mr Ali Dehdashti

Ali Dehdashti is a legal professional with extensive expertise in international arbitration and financial law. He is a dual qualified lawyer and has been practicing as an attorney at law in the Iranian jurisdiction for several years, as well as being a solicitor in England and Wales. Ali has been a Senior Associate in the Swiss law firm Python since 2016, where he has had the privilege to work on international financial and commercial disputes. Mrs Maria Beatriz Delamuta

Mrs. Delamuta holds a bachelor degree (2010) and a Master's degree (2017) from the University of São Paulo. Her Master's thesis focused specifically in the concept of fundamental breach provided for in the CISG and was entitled "Avoidance for breach in contracts for sale of goods: a comparative analysis between the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and Brazilian law". Mrs. Delamuta has acted as counsel and administrative secretary in a number of different arbitration proceedings, both domestic and international. Mrs. Delamuta is a partner at Cristiano Zanetti Advogados. She has full working proficiency in Engligh and advanced knowledge of French and Spanish. Portuguese is her native language.

Mr Simon Demaurex

Prof Toni Deskoski

Professor Toni Deskoski Ph.D. graduated at the Faculty of Law, University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia in 1994 as one of the best students in generation. He completed his postgraduate studies in the field of Civil Law – Private International Law in 1999 at Faculty of Law, University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. In the year of 2005 he has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation named as "Recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards" again at the Faculty of Law, University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Prof. Deskoski is a Head of the Department of Private International Law since 2010. During his academic career, he published numerous monographs, articles, scientific papers in both Macedonian and English language. Ms Monika Diehl

Monika Diehl is a senior associate at Clifford Chance Warsaw specializing in international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration. She has many years' experience in representing clients in complex litigation and international arbitration disputes spanning a variety of sectors, including renewables, oil & gas, construction and finance. She acts for foreign investors in investment treaty arbitrations. She is a member of the Arbitration Comittee of the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration.
Monika graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw, as well as the Center for American Law Studies co-organized by University of Florida and the University of Warsaw.
Monika participated in the 18th Vis Moot and FDI Moot in 2011 where she became an Honourable Mention advocate, while her team ranked 2nd and received 2nd prize for the Claimant's memorial. She coached the University of Warsaw teams in the Vis Moot and FDI Moot until 2014, when the team has won the FDI Moot finals. She was a member of FDI Moot 2013 Case Drafting Committee and Bench Brief Committee where she worked on the case and a brief for the moot arbitrators.

Ms Thera Dieleman

Thera Dieleman (1988) grew up as a Dutch citizen in Germany. She is a real estate lawyer in a notary firm in the east of the Netherlands, which focuses on cross-border cases between the Netherlands and Germany. Before she has been a lecturer in Private Law at Maastricht University, Radboud University Nijmegen, both the Netherlands, and Hasselt University, Belgium, for 3,5 years. In 2009, she obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics from Utrecht University. In 2013, she graduated from Leiden University, having completed Masters in Civil Law and Philosophy of Law. During her masters in Civil Law she got interested in arbitration and has done empirical research on the use of arbitration and mediation within a multinational.
During her studies, she was among other things a student-assistant in the library of the Dutch Supreme Court in The Hague.

She is a former participant in the 20th Vis Moot and was twice an arbitrator in Vienna and twice during the virtual editions. All the times in Vienna she enjoyed the great international atmosphere, the nice people she met and hopefully will see again. She really looks forward to come back to Vienna and experiences the moot again as an arbitrator.

Mr Andris Dimants

I am a lawyer based in Latvia with 10 years of experience in national and international commercial dispute resolution as a law firm attorney, as well as an inhouse general counsel. During my career I have been involved in various arbitration proceedings in institutions, such as, ICC, SCC, AAA. I have represented clients in commercial litigations before the Latvian courts, as well as handled various cases from inhouse side in Latvia, United States, UK and other jurisdictions. I am currently head the legal department of Printify, which is one of the leading print on demand companies and tech startups in the world. In addition I have my own freelance law practice dealing predominately with dispute resolution. In 2019 I acquired a LLM degree in the Pittsburgh law school with a focus on cross border transactions and international arbitration. Mr Samuel Dimitri

I am currently employed at an international law firm in Finance Litigation. I assist a wide range of asset finance clients with progressing recoveries and litigation on return of goods claims, breach of contract claims, breach of guarantee claims and claims in conversion. I also assist clients with the enforcement of money judgments in England and abroad. I am involved in all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation correspondence to trial preparation. I also have previous experience of working in Banking and Finance. I competed as Counsel in the 2018 Vis Moot representing the University of Sheffield.

Mr Anton Dirlinger

I participated in the Vis Moot Court in 2017/18 for the University of Vienna attending the Vis East in Hong Kong. After that I stayed involved with the Moot, coaching the University of Vienna's team for three seasons. Mr Martin Doe

Martin Doe serves as Deputy Secretary-General at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, an intergovernmental organization which administers arbitrations and other dispute resolution proceedings involving various combinations of States, State entities, intergovernmental organizations, and private parties.

He has worked closely with arbitral tribunals in some of the largest and most complex inter-State, investor-State, and commercial cases administered by the PCA spanning the full breadth of public and private international law as well as the full range of commercial industry sectors. Mr Christoph S. Doellefeld

My name is Christoph S. Doellefeld, and I am a 2013 graduate of New York Law School. I currently work as a Legal Risk & Regulatory Compliance Consultant at Protiviti, Inc., and am based in New York City. Additionally, I am a member of the New York State Bar, the New York City Bar, and serve on the New York City Bar's Committee on Science and the Law, where I chair the Space-Settling Subcommittee. While in law school, I had the honour of representing my school at the 2013 Vis Moot Competition in Vienna. In the time since, I have kept in contact with many of those I met during my time at Vis, and regularly see my fellow Vis teammates to catch up and reminiscence about the times we shared in preparing for the moot, and more so the times and memories we shared while there. Since my first day at the Vis Competition, I have desired to return to participate again as an Arbitrator. A number of years have passed since I graduated, and in that time I believe I have gained the request experience and knowledge to provide a meaningful contribution to the Moot.

Lito Dokopoulou is an Associate at KLC Law Firm, based in Athens since 2019. Earl J Rivera – Dolera is an independent arbitrator based in Singapore. She has been appointed as arbitrator in various cases with seats of arbitration in India, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, and Hong Kong. She is listed in the Panel of Arbitrators at the SIAC (Reserve List), AIAC, HKIAC, and THAC. Mr Dr Felix A.R. Dörfelt

Mr Dörfelt is a partner in the Hamburg office of Addleshaw Goddard (Germany) LLP and leads Addleshaw Goddard's German Litigation and International Arbitration practice. Mr Dörfelt assists and advises companies, individuals and States in successfully navigating complex disputes. He advises and represents parties in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, including commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in litigation proceedings in German state courts. His arbitration and public international law expertise includes advising and representing clients in relation to international commercial arbitrations under ICC and DIS rules, investment treaty arbitrations under ICSID rules and bilateral investment treaties (BITs). In addition, in his German litigation practice he also focuses on enforcement proceedings and cartel damages claim. Mr Dörfelt's industry focus includes renewable energy, aerospace, transportation and financial institutions. Mr Dörfelt also advises on issues relating to third party funding. Ms. Hana Doumal leads the Secretariat of the BVI International Arbitration Centre.
Hana has served in the arbitration sector at leading international firms and arbitral institutions in Hong Kong, Washington, D.C. and Paris. She has experience in commercial arbitration and investor-State arbitration, working in English, French and Spanish.
Before joining the BVI IAC, Hana was a Registered Foreign Lawyer in the international arbitration practice of Pinsent Masons in their Hong Kong office. She previously worked as a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the arbitration team of King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong, and before that, as Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). Her experience also includes an externship at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington, D.C. Mr James Drake

James Drake QC is an experienced advocate specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration, with extensive experience across a number of jurisdictions, principally England & Wales, the United States (New York) and Australia. James specialises in all areas of commercial law, with particular emphasis on contractual disputes of all kinds including: aircraft sales; commercial fraud; distributorship/ franchise; insurance and reinsurance; international trade; partnership; and all related interlocutory and jurisdictional issues.

Ms Miriam Driessen Reilly

Miriam is an Irish national who has lived, studied and worked in Belgium for over 20 years. Qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland, England and Wales, she has worked as a lawyer in private legal practice in both Dublin and Brussels, where she has been admitted to the Brussels Bar (B list). Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London), Miriam works as a Legal Advisor for the EESC in Brussels. She speaks English, French and Dutch.

Dr Björn P. Ebert

Björn P. Ebert is an Associated Partner with Gleiss Lutz in Stuttgart, Germany, and specializes in international arbitration, including enforcement and setting aside proceedings. Björn studied law at the University of Tübingen and graduated top of his class in 2014. He participated in the 18. Willem C Vis International Arbitration Moot Court and coached the team of the University of Tübingen in the following moot court. In February 2017, he received a PhD from the University of Tübingen. Chloe is a senior associate at London firm Macfarlanes LLP. She has a particular interest in international arbitration and commercial litigation, with a focus on corporate disputes.

Dr Nadia El Baroudi-Kostrikis

Ms Nour El Ghadban

Lawyer in Egypt, and currently in the Institut des Etudes Judiciaires of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Ms. El Ghadban obtained a double degree of Egyptian and French Law from the Institut de droit des affaires internationales (IDAI), which was the result of a cooperation agreement between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Cairo University.

In 2019, Ms. El Ghadban obtained a masters degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in International Economic Law. In 2020, Ms. El Ghadban obtained a masters degree from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Comparative Law. Her first exposure to arbitration was as an intern in the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration. Since, she has had numerous internships in international law firms in Cairo and Paris, specifically in the arbitration department.

Dr Tarek El Ghadban

Tarek El Ghadban is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Cairo University, and an associate lecturer at the Sorbonne Law School and the University of Osnabrück. His research focuses on the link between public and private international law, and international dispute resolution. An almnus of the "Institut de droit des Affaires Internationales" (IDAI or the International Business Law Institue), he holds a "Licence" in French law and in Egyptian law, and Masters in International and European business law, as well as Private International Law and International Commercial Law from the École de Droit de la Sorbonne. Ms Myriam El Kara

Currently based in Paris, Myriam has been for the last 2 years a startup accelerator in the electrification industry focussed on building responsible metals&mining supply chains for li-ion batteries. Myriam was a commodities trader for 7 years with a track record in thermal coal, rare earths and battery metals namely with Noble Group. She travelled extensively in Asia and grew trading and investment portfolios successfully, negotiating complex contracts structures, managing cross-functional teams in diverse geographical locations, and building collaborative partnerships.

Previously, Myriam worked 7 years in the financial services sector as a capital markets in-house counsel, then as a distressed debt trader in Paris, finally as a risk management consultant in London. In those years Myriam acquired strong skills in finance and law e.g. European MiFID and Prospectus directives application, ISDA contracts standardisation, SPVs and securitisation vehicles set-up, Basel III capital adequacy.

Currently conducting my first masters degree in Business Law at the Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth. After my participation in last year's competition, I grew certain of my choice of career post-graduation in international commercial arbitration. Mr Hesham Elwakeel

Hesham is an academic and a professional lawyer in the fields of private international law, arbitration and competiton law.

Hesham is currently an Assistant Lecturer of private international law at Cairo University.

Hesham is also an Associate in the arbitration and competition teams at Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy. Hesham handles international and domestic arbitration cases under various rules, including ICC, LCIA, ICSID, CRCICA and UNCITRAL, in relation to disputes involving oil and gas agreements, share purchase agreements, telecommunications, construction, pharmaceuticals, maritime, and international investment in Egyptian and Saudi law jurisdictions. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin Erdogan is Associate Professor at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University since 2015. He received his LL.B. (2010), LL.M. Ms Elisabeth Zoe Everson

Elisabeth commenced her legal education at the University of Geneva in 2013. She has since successfully completed her Bachelor of Laws, Certificate in Transnational Law, Master of Laws (with an exchange semester at the University of Sydney, Australia) and Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions. She is admitted to the bar of Geneva since October 2021 and is in the process of qualifying as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

During her undergraduate studies, Elisabeth worked as a legal intern at DOCIP (under the United Nations Organisation), devoted her free time to volunteering at a local law clinic, and was also an active member of AIESEC and Amnesty International. She ranked as a finalist in a Swiss law student competition, Lawbility, in negotiation and client interview. Aiming to gain more practical soft skills, she participated in various Model United Nations simulations, as well as a Model European Union simulation in Belgrade.

During her postgraduate studies, Elisabeth was a member of the University of Geneva team in the 25th edition of the Vis Moot. She spent 6 months interning at the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) and worked as a Paralegal in a boutique arbitration law firm in Geneva between February 2019 and February 2020. In July 2021, Elisabeth completed her traineeship with LALIVE's litigation team, following which she passed the Geneva bar exam in October 2021. Daria participated in the 26th Vis Moot as part of Lomonosov MSU team, advancing to the semi-final and receiving honourable mention as individual oralist. From the 27th to 29th Vis Moot, Daria coached Lomonosov MSU Team and she now couaches the group of students from Russia for the 21st Vis East Moot. Ms EFOSA OSARUEMEN EWERE

Efosa Osaruemen EWERE is a Partner in Gravida Attorneys, a Law Firm in Nigeria engaged primarily in Commercial Law Practice with a special bias for ADR as a tool for dispute resolution.
