Alexandre is a French qualified international arbitration lawyer. Prior to joining Jus Mundi, Alexandre has represented clients in a wide range of matters involving international commercial arbitration, international investment disputes and French court litigation at the former arbitration practice of Castaldi Mourre & Partners in Paris. Mr Amirreza Vahedi
Amirreza Vahedi is an experienced legal professional with a robust background in international commercial arbitration. He holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration Law from the University of Stockholm, where his master’s thesis explored the implications of economic sanctions on the enforceability of international commercial arbitral awards. As a Senior Legal Specialist at British-American Tobacco, he has led arbitration cases and handled contract negotiations and corporate legal matters. Additionally, Amirreza is the Managing Partner at Ctesiphon Law Firm, overseeing legal procedures and providing dispute management services, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR) strategies. His expertise extends to drafting and reviewing ADR clauses, construction contracts, and sales agreements, demonstrating his deep understanding of arbitration processes.
Amirreza’s engagement in the field is further underscored by his membership in CIArb, WIPO ADR Young, and LCIA Young, alongside his ambassadorial role at the Tehran Regional Arbitration Center (TRAC). He has also participated in prestigious international arbitration competitions such as the Willem C. Vis Moot, where his team received accolades for both written and oral advocacy. He has also coached several teams in vis during his career in arbitration.
Mr Vytautas Vaicekauskas
Vytautas is a PhD Candidate (International and EU Civil Procedure) at Vilnius University and an Associate at MOTIEKA. His research and practice are primarily focused on cross-border litigation and arbitration.
He graduated from Vilnius University (magna cum laude). He has been a mootie himself, including the 30th Vis Moot. Since, Vytautas is coaching Vilnius University Team for the Vis Moot. Vytautas, as well, teaches several seminars on Private Law at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law. As a PhD researcher he has recently conducted research at the Luxembourg Centre for European Law (LCEL).
Vytautas is an active member of the arbitration community. He is a former mentee of the Young ITA Mentorship Program and the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme. He publishes annually and is a co-editor of the Lithuanian arbitration journal (Arbitražas: Teorija ir praktika).
Ms Dora Valenta
Ms Giulia Valente Bagattini
Giulia is a Trainee Lawyer at SLCG, an Italian law firm with offices in Milan, Rome, Florence, and Paris. She is currently preparing for the Italian Bar Exam. Prior to joining SLCG, she interned at Linklaters and later worked at a Florence-based firm, where she focused on commercial and insolvency litigation. Now part of SLCG's International Arbitration Department, she advises clients on international commercial arbitration, specializing in energy and construction disputes.

Ms Simona Valkova
Simona Valkova works as an independent tribunal secretary specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has over five years of experience in the international arbitration field gained as an arbitral assistant to a leading international arbitrator, as well as with the international arbitration team of a leading US firm based in London. Simona has worked on cases under a variety of institutional and ad hoc rules (including the ICC, HKIAC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules). In addition, she is a Teaching Fellow at the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary University of London.

Mr Joost van Dam
Joost is a legal professional with a strong academic background and extensive international work experience. He is admitted to the Bar of Amsterdam.
His academic journey includes an LL.M in Corporate Law from the University of Leiden, an LL.M in International Law from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from the University of Amsterdam.
Joost gained valuable experience through a traineeship in International Arbitration at Shearman & Sterling in Paris, France. Following this, he worked as an Associate in International Dispute Resolution at Fieldfisher, Amsterdam, and as an Associate in Dispute Resolution at Dentons, Amsterdam. Ms Emma Van de Venster
My name is Emma Van de Venster, I am a dedicated legal professional with a strong background in international law and advocacy. During my academic journey, I had the privilege of competing in the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where my team emerged as the winners of the Belgian National Rounds. Here, I was also honored to receive the Best Oralist Award.
Building on my moot court experience, I am currently pursuing an LLM in European and International Business Law at the University of Vienna, where I focus on the intersection of international commerce and regulatory frameworks. This program has deepened my understanding of international arbitration, contract law, and cross-border dispute resolution.
My combined practical experience and academic training have equipped me with the skills to serve as an arbitrator in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Mrs Lotte Vanfraechem
Lotte studied law at the Ghent University (Belgium). She became an attorney in 2003 and founded Lex Libris Advocatenkantoor in 2014. Lotte works as an assistant private international law since 2007 with prof. dr. Johan Erauw and prof. dr. Jinske Verhellen. Lotte is interested in private international law, international arbitration, European procedural law and commercial law. She wrote several books and articles on private international law and EU civil and procedural law
Mr Amogha Varsha
Amoghavarsha is an Indian qualified advocate focusing on contentious business-relevant practice with vast experience in both domestic and international arbitrations. With his expertise as a dispute resolution professional, he has represented multiple MNCs as well as individuals before several courts and tribunals involving IP disputes, shareholder disputes, disputes involving specific performance of contracts, financial and white collar crimes. Mr Nishanth Vasanth
Nishanth specialises in group-litigation focusing on class actions brought before English Courts involving international elements. For the last three years, he has worked at Pogust Goodhead which exclusively represents Claimants in some of the biggest group litigations in the World including the Mariana Dam disaster in Brazil and the pan-European NOx Emissions Scandal. Alongside being a part of the litigations, as a keen interest in the world of dispute resolution, policy, compliance and the interface of litigation-related industries including insurance and funding.
Previously, Nishanth clerked at the Supreme Court of India and was involved in some of the most complex litigations and arbitrations in India. I am a Czech attorney practicing at a multinational law firm with a specialization in litigation and dispute resolution. I am a Brazilian lawyer who graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in September of 2024. Alexander has participated in the 26th Vis Moot and is currently a coach of the Vis Moot team of the University of Passau for the second time. After finishing his law studies, he started his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Munich and completed it in 2023. Dr Matthias von Kossak is German-qualified attorney and Counsel at Manner Disputes, a dispute resolution boutique in Hamburg, Germany. He specializes in complex disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals as well as negotiating complex contracts.
Previously, he worked in the Dispute Resolution Practice of Watson Farley & Williams LLP and GvW Graf von Westphalen. Dr. Karl J. T. Wach has vast experience in complex litigation and arbitration. Mr Robert Wachter
Mr. Robert Wachter FCIArb has acted as counsel, arbitrator or arbitral secretary in international arbitration cases brought under the ICC, KCAB, VIAC, Swiss Chambers, SIAC, LCIA, SCC, JCAA and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. Professor Dr Janet Walker
Janet Walker, CM, CD, JD, DPhil (Oxon), FCIArb, is a Chartered Arbitrator at Toronto Arbitration Chambers, Atkin Chambers in London, and Sydney Arbitration Chambers. She has served as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chair in ad hoc arbitrations and arbitrations administered by the ICC, ICDR, DIAC, HKIAC, KCAB, LCIA, PCA and SIAC in a variety of seats.
Janet is co-chair of CanArbWeek, an executive editor of the Canadian Journal of Commercial Arbitration and co-author of Commercial Arbitration in Australia (3d ed). Ms Gretta Walters
Gretta Walters is Counsel at Chaffetz Lindsey LLP in New York. She represents a diverse range of domestic and international clients in commercial and investment disputes in arbitration and state and federal courts. Gretta also has experience as Legal Counsel at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and a Visiting Lecturer at Stockholm University. Anne Wang is an Australian qualified lawyer and Secretary of the Moot Alumni Association. She has worked in Sydney, Hong Kong and London, and has experience in international arbitration as counsel, tribunal secretary and at an arbitral institution. Ms Jingru Wang
I am a PhD Candidate at Wuhan University, specialising in private international law, and currently a visiting PhD candidate at the University of Vienna. Previously, I was a visiting research fellow at Tokyo University for eight months. My research includes publications on arbitration-related topics, including China’s draft revision of arbitration law and third-party funding.
I hold the Chinese National Judicial Examination Certificate and have professional experience working in the Han Kun law office (Shanghai), where I specialized in dispute resolution, particularly international commercial arbitration.
I was a member of the Wuhan University team for the 28th Vis Moot (18th Vis East). Our team received Honourable Mention for the Werner Melis Award (Best Memorandum for Respondent) and Honourable Mention for Best Memorandum on Behalf of Claimant. Ms Xuanzhong Wang
Wang Xuanzhong is a Deputy Counsel with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre ("SIAC"). She has administered over 100 arbitration cases conducted under the SIAC Rules and the UNCITRAL Rules.
Xuanzhong began her career as a statistical consultant in Washington DC, where her job focused on designing surveys to evaluate education and healthcare policies in the United States.
Xuanzhong’s legal career started as an associate with an international law firm in Michigan where her practice included representing lenders, investors and utility company developers/acquirers in multiple renewable energy projects in the Midwest. Xuanzhong also advised and assisted public-private partnerships and domestic and international clients to negotiate and secure local and state economic development incentive packages.
At SIAC, Xuanzhong applies her analytical skills as a statistician to optimize the user experience, and she brings both a transactional and dispute resolution perspective to SIAC’s case management practice.

Wilson Wang is a litigation associate in Hughes Hubbard’s New York office. Wilson focuses on representing clients in transnational and complex commercial disputes, including litigations before the U.S. federal and state courts and international arbitrations administered under AAA, HKIAC, and CIETAC rules. He is also experienced in assisting clients with internal investigations worldwide and in response to regulatory enquiries from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice. Ms Emily Warchala
Emily Warchala holds an LLB in International and European Law with a minor in dispute resolution and is currently pursuing an LLM specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She participated as an oralist in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot and has since maintained her connection to the Vis through the MAA and acting as a pre-moot arbitrator. Along with the Vis moot, Emily has participated in various other moot court and debate competitions and has taken on coaching/mentoring roles in legal and competitive settings.
Mr Tino Wasner
Tino is a student in his final year at the University of Mannheim (Germany). He is involved in the Vis Moot for the third consecutive year. This year, Tino coaches the team from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan).
Mr Asger Watanabe Bertelsen
Asger participated in the 30th Vis Moot on the University of Copenhagen team and has participated in several national moot courts as well.
Asger is currently working as an assistant attorney at the Danish law firm Accura. He specialises in corporate law, commercial contracts and related disputes, both litigation and arbitration.

I am currently a trainee lawyer at a litigation law firm in Munich and hold a PhD from the University of Bayreuth. I participated in the 26 th Vis Moot and have since been supporting the Vis Moot-Team at the University of Bayreuth.
Before studying and graduating from Law School, I worked as a Certified Judicial Officer at a Local Court in Germany.
My focus lies in litigation and arbitration in the context of corporate law, banking and capital markets.
Mr Urs Weber-Stecher
Dr. Urs Weber-Stecher (LL.M.; FCIArb; Mediator CEDR) is an independent arbitrator and mediator practicing in Zurich. He has served as counsel, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman in numerous cases under the Swiss Rules, ICC, DIS, VIAC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, CEPANI and in ad hoc proceedings. Since 2001, Dr. Urs Weber-Stecher has been a teaching fellow for international arbitration at the University of Zurich, Faculty of Law. He is also a member of the ASA Board, the president of the Swiss National Committee of ICC, the vice-chair of the board of the Swiss Arbitration Academy . Mr Florentin Weibel
I am a senior associate at Nater Dallafior, a dispute resolution only law firm in Zurich, Switzerland. I represent clients in proceedings before state courts, arbitral tribunals (ICC, Swiss Rules, DIS, ad hoc, etc.) and administrative bodies. Based on my previous experience as a corporate and M&A transaction lawyer at a full service law firm, I now focus on corporate and shareholder disputes and M&A-related proceedings, including crypto- and blockchain-related disputes. I also regularly represent employees, managers and directors in the context of internal investigations, financial market supervisory and enforcement proceedings and criminal matters. I also act as tribunal secretary. I hold a bilingual French-German Masters of Law degree from the Universities of Geneva and Basel and an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge. I participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court, both as a participant and coach.
Mr Lukas Weichert
Lukas Weichert has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law, Private International Law and Comparative Law at the University of Passau, Germany, since August 2023. As part of this, he is supervising this year's Vis Moot Team. In July 2023, he completed his law studies at the University of Passau.
Before studying law, he completed a bachelor's degree in political science at Freie Universität Berlin. Even there, he was particularly interested in the increasing internationalization of business and trade. Lukas himself participated in the 29th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and continued to study the CISG and international commercial arbitration as part of his focus on international private and commercial law. His doctoral thesis deals with the law of restitution in England and Germany.
Mr Marcus Weiler
Marcus Weiler is a Counsel in the Dispute Resolution team at CMS Germany and specializes in national and international arbitration and complex court proceedings, with particular expertise in post-M&A and shareholder disputes and disputes in the technology sector. He has successfully represented clients from the automotive, energy, infrastructure and life sciences sector in a wide range of disputes.
Ms Madeleine Petersen Weiner
I am currently a Legal Clerk at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin and a Research Fellow at Humboldt University Berlin. I am enrolled as a PhD candidate in Private International Law at Heidelberg University. As a Research fellow at Heidelberg University, I coached Heidelberg’s teams in the 29th and the 30th Vis Moot.

Ms Anna Weinzierl
Anna Weinzierl is a junior associate at PARAGON Advocacy. She focuses her practice on the resolution of domestic and international disputes, specializing in commercial arbitration and litigation matters. She has represented clients and has acted as tribunal secretary in matters governed by various substantive and procedural laws and conducted under various institutional rules.
Prior to joining PARAGON, she gained experience working in a number of boutique law firms in Vienna where she focused on commercial arbitration and litigation as well as on general civil and corporate law matters. She was also a judicial clerk at the Higher Regional Court in Vienna.

Irene Welser is the Senior Partner of the Viennese law firm CERHA HEMPEL where she heads the Contentious Business Department. Irene is a passionate arbitrator and counsel in big arbitrations and always plans her strategy well in advance. She is a great team leader and team player. Irene has a strong academic background and, in 2003, became the youngest honorary professor ever of Vienna University. Irene is a Board Member of the Austrian arbitration institution VIAC and co-editor of the Austrian Yearbook on International Arbitration. Ms Eva Wingler
I am a very experienced tax lawyer, working in a leading position for the tax authorities of Hessen, Germany. Taxation is often enough dispute resolution between authority and tax payer and sometimes it ends in mutual agreement procedures between two and more states which may include arbitration.
I studied till 1991 at Saarland University and worked as a student and after the first state examination with Professor Helmut Ruessmann, who has been since many years a successful arbitrator and coach of Saarland Vis Moot Teams. Now, Professor Ruessmann and me work again together and join our knowledge, skills and experience in a wonderful cooperation.

Jur Dr Susan-Gale WINTERMUTH
Susan-Gale WINTERMUTH holds a juris doctorate degree from the United States, where she practiced law for over 18 years, both in a government capacity and later in private practice, before turning to university teaching. Her regular teaching university is the China EU School of Law at the China University for Pollical Science and Law, Beijing, where she teaches during one semester each year. She also teaches a module at the Stockholm School of Economics, Latvia and has been guest lecturer in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, India, and Indonesia. Mr. Zaugg is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Lausanne, specialising in artificial intelligence, and a legal advisor at the Swiss Federal Office of Justice. Alongside his studies, Mr. Zaugg has worked in the field of health insurance claims against liable third parties for over five years. He is a native speaker of Swiss German, German and French, as well as a proficient English speaker.
Ms Esmat ZeinAlDine
Ms. ZeinAlDine is a Master of Corporate Law candidate at the University of Cambridge and an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Law, The British University in Egypt. She has completed an LL.M. in Private Law and Administrative Sciences from Ain Shams University (2022-2024). Ms. ZeinAlDine obtained her LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, the British University in Egypt (2022). Her area of interest is the private law branch, particularly, corporate law, private international law, and international commercial arbitration. Her LL.B. dissertation focused on the intersection between private international law and international commercial arbitration, which was awarded best graduation project.
Moreover, she has participated in the Oxford Price Media Law Moot Court Competition (2019-2020) and co-coached the participating team in the following year (2020-2021). She also has organized and coached the 2nd Annual Information Technology Law Moot Court Competition (2022). Joanna Zielińska is an advocate (adwokat) admitted to practice in Poland. She focuses on commercial matters, private international law, and civil law, as well as court proceedings.

Mrs Alicja Zielinska-Eisen
Alicja is a Polish qualified advocate (adwokat) and an Of Counsel with Queritius, a highly specialized law firm focused on international dispute resolution related principally to Central and Eastern Europe.
She is combining her attorney practice with an academic career as a lecturer and Academic Coordinator for the IDR LL.M. at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany.

Ms Vanessa Zimmermann de Meireles
Vanessa specializes in international commercial arbitration, complex disputes, business and construction law.
Since 2016, Vanessa works as Foreign Associate at the dispute resolution boutique Borris Hennecke Kneisel in Cologne, Germany. She acts as arbitrator, counsel and secretary to arbitral tribunals in international arbitration proceedings conducted in English, Portuguese, Spanish and German. She has acted in both ad hoc and institutional proceedings held under the ICC and DIS arbitration rules. Her practice focuses on disputes regarding cross-border M&A and sales transactions, mainly in the sectors of construction, renewable energy, pharmaceutical and oil industry.
Vanessa holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement from the Geneva MIDS Program, a specialization in Business Law and two bachelor’s degrees, in Law and Business Administration completed in Brazil.
Prior to moving to Europe, Vanessa acted as an in-house counsel at a multinational construction company in Brazil, where she acted in various contract negotiations focusing on dispute avoidance and compliance.
Ms Rahima Zitoumbi
Rahima Zitoumbi is a member of the Paris bar. She has been an associate at Hanotiau & van den Berg since 2023, working in the team of Professor Bernard Hanotiau on a variety of complex international commercial and investment arbitrations.
Ms. Zitoumbi graduated with a Master’s Degree in Global Business Law and Governance from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Columbia Law School and Sciences Po Paris in 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s Degree in Literary Theory from École des hautes études en sciences sociales and École normale supérieure.
Ms. Zitoumbi completed her legal training in the litigation and arbitration departments of several law firms in Paris, as well as in an international organisation and in an NGO. Prior to joining Hanotiau & van den Berg, Ms. Zitoumbi worked as Deputy Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Prof Dr Tatjana Zoroska Kamilovska
Dr.sc. Tatjana Zoroska Kamilovska is a Full Professor at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” where she teaches Civil Procedural Law, Arbitration, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Cross-border Civil Proceedings in EU. She is a Head of the Civil Procedure Department, a Head of the postgraduate and doctoral studies in Civil law (both substantive and procedural) at the same faculty. She is also a Member of the University Senate (2023/2026).

She was a Vice President of the Permanent Court of Arbitration attached to the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia and member of the Presidency of same institution for more than 10 years. She serves as an arbitrator under various arbitration rules.
Professor Tatjana Zoroska Kamilovska is a former coach of Vis Moot team of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
She is an author/coauthor of seven books (including one on Arbitration Law, 2015), four monographs and more than 80 scientific papers, many of them dealing with topics regarding arbitration. She has been a leader or participant in many scientific projects (including ADR and Arbitration) and a speaker in numerous international and domestic conferences, seminars and workshops.
Ms Dongni ZOU
I am currently working as a Case Manager in the Business & Development Division of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). In my role, I handle the procedural aspects of arbitration cases and contribute to various business development initiatives.
My journey in international arbitration began with my academic pursuits. I hold a degree in Private International Law from Wuhan University, where I gained a deep understanding of the legal principles that govern cross-border disputes. My passion for international arbitration led me to further my studies at the University of Geneva (UNIGE), where I immersed myself in a global legal environment and expanded my expertise.
In addition to my academic achievements, I am fluent in both English and French. This linguistic proficiency enables me to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and to manage cases that involve parties from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
International arbitration has become a dynamic and rapidly evolving field in recent years. My educational background and language skills have equipped me to excel in this industry, and I am dedicated to contributing to its growth and development through my work at CIETAC.
Miss Sarah Zuhri
Mr Adly Zulfadhly Zulkefly
Adly graduated with a LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Syarie Legal Practice (DSLP) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors in March 2020. During these times, he was involved with mainly litigation and arbitration work. Adly subsequently undertook his pupilage at Azmi & Associates where he was trained to handle complex files. Furthermore, he has also acted as counsel for banks and government bodies in relation to construction disputes and other commercial claims. Adly was a member of, i.e., the IIUM Jessup Mooting Competition (2014), Novice Arbitration Mooting Competition (2015), 1st Pre-Moot Vis Arbitration Mooting Competition (2015) and Linklater’s Hong Kong Competition Law Mooting Competition (2018). His passion in advocacy led him to obtain a membership in the Moot Alumni Association of the Vis Moot which he has since served as Volunteering Arbitrator for the KL Pre-Moot , Vis East Moot and Vis Vienna Moot and Coach for university teams partaking in the Vis Moot Competition.
He is currently a working committee member of the Young Society for Construction Law Malaysia (YSCL) since 2020, a registered member of the Society for Construction Law Malaysia, a registered member of the Young Practitioners Group Asian International Arbitration Centre (YPG AIAC) since 2018, and a member (since November 2019) Asia Pacific representative (since January 2021) of the Young Practitioners Group of The Institute for Transnational Arbitration (Young ITA).
Mrs Karen Zuniga
Lawyer with over 10 years of experience in corporate law, public procurement, and dispute resolution, specializing in commercial and construction arbitration. Currently working as an independent external legal advisor, I previously served as Head of Arbitration at Petroperú, where I designed successful strategies in arbitration proceedings, preventing multimillion-dollar contingencies for the company.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and have pursued international studies at the University of Salamanca (Spain), the University of Bologna (Italy), and Dalhousie University (Canada). I have participated in over 100 arbitration cases and am a member of the Latin American Dispute Board and the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA).
My working languages include Spanish (native), English (C1), and basic proficiency in German (A2) and Italian (A2), allowing me to engage in international legal environments.
With a strong focus on efficient dispute resolution and strategic legal application, I am eager to contribute my expertise and knowledge as an arbitrator at the Vis Moot 2025 in Vienna.
