Ms Karen Kaarlep

Ms Smriti Kalra
Smriti Kalra is a qualified lawyer in England & Wales and India, with 3 years of work experience split across Delhi and London. Currently working as an Associate in the Arbitration team at Linklaters LLP in London , she has also previously worked at the chambers of Mr. Nakul Dewan KC, on commercial litigations before the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court as well as domestic and international arbitrations. She was awarded the Best Oralist and Runners-Up at the ELSA WTO International Moot Court Competition 2018 and Octo-Finalist at the FDI Moot Court Competition 2018. and went on to coach teams for both moots. Mr Yves Kandel
I finished my first law degree in Wuerzburg, Bavaria in 2022 with VB and I am currently in the last stage of my Referendariat working as a Trainee Lawyer for Clifford Chance, Real Estate Transactions, before my second state exam.
Alas I have not participated myself in VisMoot as a student, but I have gotten to know a lot of colleagues and friends that were amazed by the intellectual and cultural opportunities, and since I am in Vienna regularly anyways, I would like to see for myself this year.
Mr Benedikt Kaneko
Benedikt is an attorney at Gleiss Lutz in Germany and advises clients on international commercial and investment arbitrations, cross-border disputes and complex litigation. A focus of his practice are international arbitrations with a connection to Asia, particularly Japan, Korea, Singapore and China. Ms. Bilge M. Kara is a dual citizen of France and Turkey, currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Commercial Law at Maastricht University. With a specialized focus on International Commercial Law, Corporate Social Responsibility, European Competition Law, and Comparative Company Law, Bilge is also developing her thesis on international trade law. Her background positions her strongly within the field of commercial arbitration, making her an ideal candidate for an arbitrator role in the Vis Moot.
Bilge has participated in both the 27th and 28th editions of moot court competitions, where she honed her skills in legal reasoning, oral advocacy, and cross-border legal issues. Mr Muhammad Fahad Karim
I am a bar-trained graduate of Lincoln's Inn, England and have attained qualification as a High Court Lawyer in Pakistan, possessing experience in commercial disputes. Mr Alexandr Karlovskiy
Alexandr is a KK&P Trial Lawyers Senior Associate. He specialises in the resolution of commercial disputes in Russian state courts and international arbitration, and also represents clients in complex asset sale and acquisition transactions, including preparation of SPA, options and corporate agreements.

Alexandr represented the client in a dispute in ICC arbitration over the client’s claim against its counterparty, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of wind turbines. The client won tenders for the production of “green” electricity and started the construction of wind farms. The wind turbines were to be produced, supplied and maintained by the opponent. However, due to the sanctions, the respondent terminated its contracts with the client, that resulted in substantial losses for the client.

Evanthia Kasiora is an Associate in the International Arbitration Practice of White & Case in Paris. She works in commercial and investment arbitration, with an emphasis on the energy and construction sectors, and has experience as Tribunal Secretary. Evanthia is qualified in Greece and registered as an EU lawyer with the Paris Bar. She holds an LLB and LLM in Civil Procedural Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an LLM in International Business Law from the London School of Economics. Mr Rostislav Kats
Rostislav specialises in dispute resolution before state courts and arbitral tribunals under ICC, SCC, HKIAC, ICAC Russia, RAC Rules and ad hoc arbitrations, in particular in relation to (construction) contracts, supply of goods and services, loan agreements, corporate agreements. Rostislav has extensive experience working for top boutique law firms listed in international and internal rankings. Mr Emmanuel Eugenio Kaufman
Emmanuel Kaufman is Counsel at Wolf Theiss. He is a member of the Disputes and Construction teams and specialises in international commercial and investment arbitration as well as construction disputes. He has gained considerable experience working under the major arbitration rules, including the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL and Vienna Rules. Assoc Prof Ana Keglević Steffek,
Dr Keglević Steffek is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at City Law School, City St George’s University, London, UK, where she is teaching arbitration. She specialises in commercial and contract law, arbitration and ADR, insurance law and legal technology.
During her academic career, she has held visiting positions at the University of Oxford (IECL), UNIDROIT (Rome), Max Planck Institute (Hamburg), University of Cambridge (St John’s College) and Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (London). Before joining academia in 2006 she was an attorney at law advising on international commercial law and served as Assistant to the Secretary General of the Croatian Permanent Arbitration Court. Mr Thomas Joseph Kelly

Mr Mohammed Keshtari
Mohammed Keshtari is a Disputes Specialist at King & Spalding Frankfurt I LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution at Humboldt University zu Berlin. He is holding a Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon. Admitted to the Syrian Bar Association in 2014, he commenced his legal career as an independent practitioner in Syria, later extending his expertise to Cairo, Egypt. Ms. Kibaka-Vibila is currently a doctoral candidate in the field of Anti-Discrimination Law at Saarland University, Germany. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in International Relations at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, before earning her Master of Laws (LL.M) in European and International Law at the Saarland University. Her specialisation are in the areas of international law, european and international protection of human rights and international dispute resolution. Ms. Kibaka-Vibila has a great deal of moot experience. She participated in the annual moot simulation at the Court of Justice of the European Union and in the Mock Trial organised by the Fordham Law School.
As a member of Saarland University, she participated in the Willem C. Vis Moot in 2020/21, where her team were among the 32 best teams. Winnie Nakkazi Kiberu is a Kenyan-trained lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Strathmore University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Marc Krestin (1982) is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution group of European law firm Fieldfisher. He joined Fieldfisher in February 2024 after having worked over 15 years for other international law firms in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Paris. Nassim Krüsselsberg started her legal traineeship earlier this year. She completed her first state exam last year after finishing her specialist degree program in corporate law and capital market law. She participated in the 26th Willem C. Vis Moot Court 2018/19 and stayed involved by providing assistance for later moot court teams as a member of the Bonn Moot Association, partially as a board member. After the moot court competition, Nassim worked as a student assistant at the Institute of International Private Law and Comparative Law. She then completed a program for technical foreign language education in English (FFA IV) at the University of Bonn while finishing her first state exam. Now, she is employed at the Institute for German and International Civil Procedure Law. After already coaching last year’s vis moot court team, she is looking forward to her second year as a coach for the University of Bonn.

Dr Tanneke Laffargue-Haak currently works at the EPO, the patent office for Europe where she has judged patents for more than two decades in the field of life sciences, in particular pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She conducted more than 150 oppositions in English, German and French. Tanneke was also involved in training and coaching patent examiners at the EPO and national offices, as well as European patent attorneys.
Confronted with the limits of post grant inter partes administrative procedures, Tanneke got interested in ADR for resolving patent disputes. She earned a post graduate diploma with Merits in international commercial arbitration from Queen Mary in 2012 and intends to work as an independent arbitrator and technical expert for cross-border life science patent disputes in the near future.

Courtney acts as counsel and arbitrator in common and civil law jurisdictions across all sectors with an emphasis in energy, life sciences, construction and industrial engineering matters. Dr. Linda B. Louis is from the Hague, Netherlands. Dr Greg Lourie
Greg is a German qualified lawyer and Counsel at Schellenberg Wittmer’s Zurich office. Before , he was a counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration where he led the ICA 3 case management team responsible for the administration of approximately 200 arbitrations, primarily in connection with Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Scandinavia and the Nordics.
Prior to joining the ICC, Greg worked as an attorney with major international law firms in Paris, Frankfurt and Washington DC. John W. Lowe serves as an international arbitrator and mediator. Important fact is my role in re-establishing the Moot team of Montenegro, three years ago. Prof Olaf Meyer
Olaf is Professor of Contract Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Bruna Gordilho is a brazilian lawyer working with international trade, corporate law and contracts . Graduated in Law at Faculdade Baiana de Direito. Mrs. Ossio is a Peruvian-Italian lawyer admitted to practice law both in Peru and as a Solicitor in England and Wales. I am an impact-oriented ADR enthusiast, with a specific interest in international arbitration. Having obtained a Master's degree in law from the University of Silesia in Poland, my passion for international law led me to London where I began working with a barrister specialising in international arbitration. I also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law together with a Master of Arts in Law course at the University of Law in London Bloomsbury and graduated with Distinction. Subsequently I worked in PR positions at CIArb and DLA Piper and studied LPC LLM at BPP University.
