I am a former mootie, and I participated in the 30th Vis Moot in 2022/2023 with the team from Aarhus University. Together with my team, I participated in several pre-moots in Europe and the US, and I pleaded in Vienna where we made it to the round of 16. After the Vis Moot, I wrote my Master's thesis on the CISG. I have also studied as an exchange student at South Texas Collega of Law in Houston, Texas. In January 2024, I graduated from law school and got my Master's degree in law from Aarhus University. MR MARCO FARINA
Marco teaches Transnational civil litigation and International Arbitration at University of Macerata and International Commercial Arbitration at the European University of Rome. He holds a Phd degree in Civil Procedural Law from Univetsity of Rome La Sapienza. He is assistant professor of civil procedure at University of Rome LUISS. Marco regularly lectures and speaks at academic and professional conferences. He is author of one book and around 50 papers covering different areas of Civil Procedure (both domestic and transnational), arbitration and Insolvency Law. Dr Tamas Feher
Tamas Feher is heading the dispute resolution practice of Jalsovszky, one of Hungary’s largest independent law firms. Holding a law degree from the ELTE University in Budapest, he spent 10 years with the tax and dispute resolution teams at a major international law firm. He then joined Jalsovszky in 2014 helping develop its dispute resolution team from a tax litigation boutique to a full-fledged practice. Mr Rory Field
Rory Field, FCIArb is a barrister, mediator and arbitrator and is a tenant of 15 New Bridge Street Chambers, London. He was Director of Public Prosecutions (D.P.P.) of Bermuda (2007-2016), Legal Advisor on Organized Crime for the O.S.C.E. in Serbia (2003-2007) and D.P.P. of Belize (1999-2001). I am a final-year law student at the University of Tehran. Last year, I had the privilege of competing in the Vis Moot as a member of my university’s team and moot in Vienna. I am honored to serve as one of the team’s coaches this year. I also head the Moot Department at the Iranian Legal Studies Association. Carla Fischer is currently working as a research associate with CMS Hasche Sigle’s arbitration practice in Munich. Since September 2021, she has been pursuing a PhD in international law at the University of Edinburgh, where she is volunteering as a coach for the University’s Vis Moot team for the 30th Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition. Dr. Simon Fischer, LL.M. is an attorney in the dispute resolution team of the renowned German law firm Gleiss Lutz. He specializes in state court litigation with a focus on complex cartel, insolvency, and corporate law disputes . He holds a doctorate in international investment protection law from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and a master degree in European and international economic law from the University of Vienna. Mr Stephen Fleischer
Stephen Fleischer is the co-founder & director of Africa in the Moot. Founded 2 years ago, this organization is devoted to promoting diversity in the Vis Moot and currently endeavors to support 17 sub-Saharan African universities to travel to Austria. In addition to this, the organization hosts the only in-person pre-moot in sub-Saharan Africa which takes place in Nairobi, Kenya in February every year. Stephen was a participant in the 2017 iteration of the Vis Moot with Loyola University of Chicago School of Law - taught under Professor Margaret Moses. Since then, he has coached the Loyola Chicago Vis Moot team and subsequently, acted as an Adjunct Faculty member at Strathmore Law School in Kenya coaching their Vis Moot team.

Reagan Florence is licensed attorney admitted within the State and Federal District Courts of Minnesota; the State court of Utah; and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She currently practices complex commercial litigation and arbitration as an attorney for Alan Anderson Law Firm LLC.
Prior to law school, Ms. Florence worked for a multi-million dollar international health and wellness company for five years. During that time, Ms. Florence also obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Following her undergraduate degree, Ms. Florence attended and graduated from Mitchell Hamline in 2014. At Mitchell Hamline, Ms. Florence served on the Hamline Law Journal of Public Law and Policy, and was published in 2013 for her article regarding state immunity statutes and policy implications. Ms. Florence was also elected to the Board of Governors as a class representative for her school, and was selected to compete and represented her school at the international VIS Moot law competition in Vienna, Austria, where she and her teammate were awarded the Honorable Mention for the Frédéric Eisemann Award in Team Orals. Ms. Florence also co-published and authored a research study commissioned by the European Union in 2013, regarding the Mediation Directive throughout the EU.
Ms. Florence also has a passion for philanthropy. In law school, Ms. Florence served as the Vice Chair for the Minnesota Justice Foundation, and completed twice the required amount of pro-bono hours for graduation. Ms. Florence also served on a number of charitable committees in law school, focused on justice inequality. After law school, Ms. Florence served on the Board of Directors for the United Nations Women, Utah Chapter of Salt Lake City, from 2015-2016, and presently serves as an advisor of advocacy.

Mr Filippo Frigerio

Dr Simon Gabriel
Simon Gabriel specialises in international arbitration and has participated in more than 100 international arbitration proceedings. He is founder and owner of the Zurich based arbitration boutique law firm GABRIEL Arbitration and is thus entirely independent.

I am a dual degree student specializing in International Arbitration and Business Law through ADA University and American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL). My dedication to international arbitration was sparked during my participation in the 30th and 31st Willem C. Vis Moot, where I had the opportunity to argue complex international commercial law issues involving the CISG and arbitral procedural matters. This experience provided me with critical insight into the challenges of cross-border dispute resolution and sharpened my advocacy skills. Additionally, I participated in the DIFC Courts of Space Moot Court Competition, where I further honed my ability to craft persuasive legal arguments in international arbitration contexts.

Hoda defines herself as a poetic heart with a cosmopolitan soul, ready to challenge herself and broaden her perspective. During her academic years, Hoda participated in the 28th Willem C. Vis Moot, placing her University at the 69th out of more than 300 teams, and coached the last years’ teams. It was with the Vis Moot experience that Hoda started cultivating her passion for arbitration. At the same time, as a space law enthusiast, Hoda took part of the ESA and ECSL Summer Course to deepen her knowledge in this field, in so far as she wrote her Master's thesis in Space Arbitration. Mr Erlend Haaskjold
Erlend Haaskjold is one of the leading arbitrators in Scandinavia. He is Partner and Head of International Arbitration at Schjødt Law Firm in Oslo. He has acted as arbitrator in a number of commercial and international disputes, and he regularly appears as advocate in all arbitral fora, before international tribunals, and in the domestic Norwegian courts. He was elevated to the rank of Senior Counsel in 2003. After seven years with a major Anglo-American law firm in its Dusseldorf and London offices, Ralf has been working with ADVANT Beiten as a partner since January 2011. He is the current Head of Dispute Resolution there. Ralf particularly advises his national and international clients on complex, international disputes, mostly post-M&A cases as well as other corporate, commercial and contractual matters and represents them in arbitration and state court proceedings, including proceedings for the enforcement of arbitral awards. Miisa Happonen is a Senior Associate and an Attorney-at-Law working with Dispute Resolution practice of the Nordic law firm Roschier, Attorneys Ltd. Ms Chenglei Hu
Chenglei Hu is currently enrolled in the International Dispute Resolution (IDR) program at Humboldt University of Berlin, where she specialises in international contract and tort law, including the CISG, Rome I, and Rome II Regulations. With nearly four years of experience as a paralegal in the civil and commercial litigation department of Yingke Law Firm in Ningbo, China, she has had extensive exposure to both domestic commercial cases and the intersection of international commercial arbitration matters. Her work has involved collaborations with various major arbitration institutions, including ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, and CIETAC, where she honed skills in cross-border dispute management and procedural strategy. She has also published two academic papers and contributed as an editor for Professor Xingzhong Yu’s book: Rule of Law and Civilized Order at Cornell Law School. Committed to advancing her expertise in international arbitration, she is keen to contribute as an arbitrator at the Vienna Moot.
Ms Zerun HU
Zerun is currently a student in the International Commercial Arbitration program at Stockholm University, where she is dedicated to advancing her knowledge and expertise in the field of arbitration. With graduation anticipated in June 2025, she is preparing for a future career in international dispute resolution.
During her first master’s degree, Zerun participated in the CIETAC Cup for three consecutive years. She began as a team member, building foundational skills in legal research and advocacy. In her second year, she demonstrated leadership as a team leader, guiding her team through memo writing and oral advocacy. By the third year, she served as an arbitration secretary, gaining valuable experience from the perspective of organizing and administering the moot, which deepened her understanding of procedural matters. Zerun has rich practical experience. She completed an overseas internship at Chung Ting Fai & Co. in Singapore. She also worked as a teaching assistant for an international arbitration course at the CILS Center for International Legal Studies, further honing her academic and professional skills.
Prof Dr Peter Huber
Peter Huber is Professor of Private International Law and Comparative Law, at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany). He writes on international commercial law, in particular the CISG, and the law of international litigation. He has been a coach and patron of the Mainz Moot team for over 20 years.
Dr Roman Huber
Roman Huber is a partner at the Swiss law firm Kellerhals Carrard in Zurich and advises and represents clients at all stages of the dispute resolution process and acts regularly as counsel in complex proceedings before state courts and arbitral tribunals. He also specializes in large-scale internal investigations relating to white collar crime and regulatory issues and advises corporate clients in compliance matters. He represents clients in investigations by Swiss and foreign authorities, including U.S. authorities. He regularly publishes on topics in these practice areas.
In the year 2013 he received a Ph.D. with a study on dispute resolution clauses in trust instruments from a Swiss law perspective from the University of Zurich. My name is Yulianna Huk and I am currently pursuing my LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation at Central European University in Vienna, following the completion of my LL.B. at Ukrainian Catholic University. My academic journey has been complemented by practical experience, including internships at Deloitte's Prague Office in the Banking and Finance department and at Advant Beiten's Munich office, where I worked within commercial arbitration team.
My passion for international dispute resolution has been cultivated through participation in moot court competitions: Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court (2021/2022), Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court (2022/2023), and Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (2023/2024). Each competition has deepened my understanding of complex legal issues in international arbitration. Currently, I serve as a student coach for the Ukrainian Catholic University's WTO John H. Jackson Moot Court team, where I share my experience and mentor the next generation of law students.
I believe my combined experience in mooting, commercial arbitration practice, and my academic background in international business law makes me well-equipped to serve as an arbitrator for the Vis Moot competition.

He oversaw various high-profile cases and completed investigations for large financial institutions; he was a consultant to U.S. security firms on projects including the 2004 Olympic Games. Nadja Jaisli co-heads Bär & Karrer's arbitration practice and specializes in international commercial arbitration and litigation.
