Mark Kantor is a retired partner of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy (now Milbank LLC), an international arbitrator in investment and commercial disputes, Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center and Editor-in-Chief of the online journal Transnational Dispute Management. He was a member of the World Bank Group Sanctions Board (term ended Fall 2021). Mr Kerem KART

Kerem is a distinguished graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law, where he earned his degree with honors. During his time at the university, Kerem demonstrated his interest in international arbitration by participating in the 2017 edition of the Istanbul Arbitration Centre National Moot Court Competition.

Following his graduation, Kerem worked as a lawyer for almost six years in various fields, including criminal law. This experience led him to serve as a jury member in the International Evaluation Committee for the written phase of the International Criminal Court’s Moot Court Competition 2018 edition.

Mr Rostislav Kats

Rostislav specialises in dispute resolution before state courts and arbitral tribunals under ICC, SCC, HKIAC, ICAC Russia, RAC Rules and ad hoc arbitrations, in particular in relation to (construction) contracts, supply of goods and services, loan agreements, corporate agreements. Mr Emmanuel Eugenio Kaufman

Emmanuel Kaufman is Counsel at Wolf Theiss. He is a member of the Disputes and Construction teams and specialises in international commercial and investment arbitration as well as construction disputes. Mr Marc Krestin

Marc Krestin (1982) is a Partner at the Amsterdam office of the international law firm Pogust Goodhead and co-head of the firm's International Arbitration group. He joined Pogust Goodhead in January 2022 after having worked over 13 years for other international law firms in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Paris. Marc specialises in international arbitration and group litigation.

Meenakshi Krishna Kumar is an India-qualified lawyer currently pursuing her Master of Law in the International Commercial Arbitration Law Program at Stockholm University. She graduated from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, India in 2019. Subsequently, Meenakshi worked at Trilegal, Bangalore, and CrestLaw Partners, Bangalore in India. As an associate in the dispute resolution teams at these firms, Meenakshi gained extensive experience handling a spectrum of cases, spanning international and domestic arbitrations, as well as domestic litigation. Her representation of various companies and individuals before the courts and tribunals in Bangalore, Karnataka, reflects her proficiency in navigating complex legal scenarios.

During her academic tenure, she actively participated in renowned international moot court competitions, including the 26th Willem C Vis Moot and the 14th Willem C Vis Moot (East). Ms Anne Krogh Christensen

Anne Krogh Christensen works as an assistant attorney at the law firm Gorrissen Federspiel in Denmark in their litigation and arbitration department. She attended the 28th Vis Moot with the team from Aarhus University and has been coaching the team from Aarhus the last two years.

Ms Leena Kujansuu-Tikkanen

Leena Kujansuu works as Head of Legal at Hitachi Energy Finland Oy. Leena has previously worked as an attorney in dispute resolution practices of leading Finnish law firms. Leena was educated at the University of Helsinki (LL.M 2009) and in addition she obtained her second LLM (with distinction) from King's College London in 2013.

Mr Adarsh Kumar

Adarsh Kumar is an India qualified Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2018, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune with a B.A.LLB degree in 2018. Mr Samuel Kuo

Samuel is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), currently pursuing the Fellowship with the Michael Mustill Scholarship from Gray's Inn and the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC) in the United Kingdom. He holds, inter alia, an LLB from the University of York. Samuel possesses a wide range of legal research, writing and editing experience, and he is an oral and written advocacy coach. Samuel is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (commonly known as the Royal Society of the Arts) (FRSA). He is fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin, having lived across four continents.

Samuel has assisted matters related to international arbitration and insolvency and in the London Rolls Building (the Chancery Division of the High Court of England and Wales). He is also well versed in legal cultural differences (e g, common law vs civil law). With a common law background, Samuel is skilled at explaining the common law principles and British legal distinction (e g, barristers' chambers vs solicitors' firms) to civilian practitioners and others. Mr Matthias Kuscher

Matthias Kuscher is a partner in De Brauw's disputes group who specialises in international disputes, including international commercial and investment arbitration and cross-border litigation.

Since joining De Brauw in 2012, Matthias has acted as counsel in and advised on large-scale international disputes in the fields of energy, infrastructure, investment protection, construction and intellectual property under the rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL, DIS, Swiss Chambers, VIAC, NAI and ICSID as well as before the Dutch and English courts. He also sits as an international arbitrator.

Prior to joining De Brauw, Matthias was Legal Counsel to the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague and established the PCA’s first overseas presence as the inaugural PCA Representative and Legal Officer in the Republic of Mauritius. Katariina is an avid arbitration enthusiast and an Associate at Sorainen, an international pan-Baltic law firm. Dr Marc R Labgold

Dr Labgold is an independent international arbitrator and also regularly serves as lead counsel in complex international commercial arbitrations under a broad range of arbitral rules and procedures in disputes arising from a wide array of contract types and subject matters. He has experience and expertise in the arbitration of disputes involving patents and other IP, both as counsel and as an arbitrator. Ms Valeriia Lada

Valeriia is a Ukrainian-qualified lawyer who has vast experience in domestic dispute resolution, as well as international commercial and investment arbitration.
Valeriia represented private and state-owned entities in commercial disputes under the GAFTA and ICAC UCCI arbitration rules. Her experience also includes acting as a local counsel for Ukraine in an investment dispute under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. She also advised clients on potential prospects of protecting their rights under BITs. In addition, she has experience in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as setting-aside procedures in Ukraine.
She is a member of several professional associations, including the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, Young ICCA and Young ITA. She often prepared and published reports on Ukrainian arbitration-related court cases for UAA.

My role in establishing the GPA- Group of Practical Arbitration at Uniceub, alongside respected colleagues Fernando Carrusca, Paulo Palhares, Felipe Camargo, and Pedro Naegelle, was a step towards fostering a practical understanding of arbitration among peers.

Mrs Bronwyn Lincoln

Bronwyn is a partner at Thomson Geer practising in international commercial arbitration and cross border litigation and an international arbitrator. Amongst other roles, Bronwyn is a Fellow of ACICA, a director of the Australian Disputes Centre and empanelled with SIAC, HKIAC, AIAC, NZIAC and KCAB International.

Ms Anna Maria Liske

Anna Liske is currently in between tests for her first state exam in the Federal State North-Rhine Westphalia in Germany. Dr Benjamin Lissner

Benjamin Lissner is a Partner at CMS in Cologne, Germany. He specializes in domestic and international dispute resolution, in particular, as counsel and arbitrator in arbitration and ADR proceedings. His main focus lies on proceedings related to commercial and corporate law, including post-M&A-disputes, as well as technical disputes including plant construction. Mrs Dr. Anna-Gesine Lock

Anna-Gesine Lock has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff & Partner in Cologne since 2017. She specialises in litigation and arbitration. Anna-Gesine Lock advises and represents national and international enterprises in civil, mercantile and commercial law disputes. Mr Dominik Loidl

I have been working as lawyer and university lecturer in Vienna since 2018.

I participated in the Vis Moot Court myself at the end of my legal studies in 2017/18. I then moved to Vienna to work as associate in the fields of arbitration and litigation. There, I also founded the Vis Moot Court team of WU Vienna in 2018 and have coached the team ever since.

My academic background is rooted in studies of the law, political science and engineering management at the University Graz, TU Vienna, Sciences Po Paris and Cambridge University. Further, I have been holding a course on international arbitration at WU Vienna for the past four years.

Dr Greg Lourie

Greg is a German qualified lawyer and Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He heads the ICA 3 case management team responsible for the administration of approximately 200 arbitrations, primarily in connection with Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Scandinavia and the Nordics.

Prior to joining the ICC, Greg worked as an attorney with major international law firms in Paris, Frankfurt and Washington DC. Mr Thiago Lukschal Mascarenhas

My name is Thiago Lukschal and I am a Brazilian lawyer. I hold a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where I graduated in July 2023. I work as a lawyer in the dispute resolution practice (litigation and arbitration) at Mattos Filho in Rio de Janeiro.

I first joined the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro's Willem C. Vis Moot team in 2020 for the 28th Vis Moot. Mr Michele Angelo Lupoi

I am a full professor of Civil procedural law at the University of Bologna, Italy, and a practicing civil lawyer. I have written extensively in matters of transnational litigation, especially with reference to EU private international law regulations as well as in matters of Italian civil procedure and arbitration law. Ms. Luz Barreiros was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With a passion for the intricacies of law, she embarked on a journey that led her to the fields of legal practice, research, and academia. After obtaining her law degree at the Frankfurt University, she joined EY LAW as an Attorney-at-law specialized in extrajudicial resolutions (Mediation and Arbitration) and labor law. She also works as a lecturer at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and as a researcher at the Research Lab for Law and Applied Technologies with specialization in smart contracts.

Ms Bingru Ma

I’m a current candidate of the LLM program in Transnational Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (TADS) at Sciences Po. This program offers extensive training in theoretical and practical aspects of arbitration and dispute settlement.

Prior to joining the TADS program, my academic background includes a master’s degree in international law from one of the top five law schools in China. To familiarize myself with the English common law system, I have successfully passed SQE1, and I am preparing for the SQE2 exam scheduled in London in February 2024. Dr Paul MacMahon

Paul MacMahon is an Associate Professor of Law at the LSE Law School, where he teaches and writes about contracts and international commercial arbitration. Mr Rashad Mahammadzada

I am a young legal professional with over two years of experience, focusing mainly on intellectual property, financial law, and dispute resolution.

Prior to acquiring my bachelor of law from Baku State University, I had actively been engaged in NGO activities and participated in several moot court competitions. Within the academic year of 2019-2020, I held the position of Vice President in charge of Academic Activities at ELSA Azerbaijan, alongside being a member of the Editorial Team for ELSA Law Review at ELSA International. Ms Tamara Manasijevic

Tamara Manasijevic is an Attorney at Law with ARP, Vienna. She is admitted in Croatia and, as a registered European lawyer, in Austria.

I was born and raised in the small town in Tivat Montenegro. There I'v finished elementary and high school with the honors.
In Podgorica I have enroled at Law School University of Montenegro in 2011 and I have graduated Law in June 2015 with honors. Since then I have been working in the Law office in Budva where I have been practicing almost every area of law, including commercial law and arbitration.

Important fact is my role in re-establishing the Moot team of Montenegro, three years ago. I wanted to leave some legacy on my senior year at the University of Montenegro, and that year, 2014 I have established competition team for the year 2015 for William C. Vis Moot. Ms Niloofar Massihi

Niloofar has participated in the 24th Vis Moot as a team member/oralist and in the 25th and 26th Vis Moot as a coach and arbitrator. Michael Mcilwrath is the founder of MDisputes Srl, the Chair of the ICC's Governing Body for Dispute Resolution Services, and an adjunct professor in the law faculty of Bocconi University. Ms Emily McMurtry

Emily is a lawyer and arbitrator with the Ottawa (Canada) office of Dentons Canada LLP. Prof Olaf Meyer

Olaf is Professor of Contract Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Having obtained a Master's degree from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Münster, he previously held a position as lecturer at Bremen University and was visiting professor at the universities of Berlin, Mannheim, Münster and Hamburg. He is also a regular guest lecturer at foreign universities and is often invited to speak at international events.
His publications cover a wide range of topics from international commercial law and arbitration to private international law, comparative law and anti-corruption. Recently, Olaf edited the comparative guide on "Public Policy and Private International Law" (Edward Elgar 2022).

Mr Ameya Vikram Mishra

I graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, in 2017, which is ranked as one of the top law schools in India. Professor Joe Morrissey

Professor Morrissey has been a law professor at Stetson University College of Law since 2004. Mr Kevin Nash

1. My Arbitration encounter:
a. Lord Denning Master of Rolls drew my attention to Arbitration in early 2008 through his opinion in Bremer Vulkan v South Indian Shipping [1981] AC 909 where he said:

b. “When I was young, a sandwich-man wearing a top-hat used to parade outside these courts with his boards back and front, proclaiming ‘Arbitrate, don’t litigate.’ It was very good advice so long as arbitrations were conducted speedily: as many still are in the City of London. But it is not so good when arbitrations drag on for ever.”

3. My interest in Arbitration:
a. My interest in Arbitration burns like a raging fire. This includes Customary Arbitration, National Aritration, Regional Arbitration and International Arbitration. I have been involved in three live Arbitrations and four Moot Arbitrations. This total of seven experiences entail National, Regional and Internation Arbitrations. It also tasked me as an Arbitration Advocate and Registrar Support for live Arbitrations and Organizer, Coach and Arbitrator for Moot Arbitration Competitions.

b. For Customary Arbitration, I am currently drafting the Bill for Law to establish an Alternative Dispute Resolution ADR Centre for Imo State of Nigeria. Customary Arbitration in Imo State Nigeria appears to be an uncharted waters. In our hypothesis, my team found out that there are a lot of Arbitrations going on at the customary local level of adjudication. We also found out that Arbitrators here delivery hundreds of decision each year and very few of these decisions are challenged. Once my team access needed resources, we are able to do a deeper research here and develop a fit for purpose ADR for improved and better practice at that level.

c. I have learnt a lot in these small Arbitration experiences. I particularly learn a great deal when I review Memorials and will like to continue to volunteer.

Ms Natalia Otlinger

I am an impact-oriented ADR enthusiast, with a specific interest in international arbitration. Having obtained a Master's degree in law from the University of Silesia in Poland, my passion for international law led me to London where I began working with a barrister specialising in international arbitration. I also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law together with a Master of Arts in Law course at the University of Law in London Bloomsbury and graduated with Distinction. Subsequently I worked in PR positions at CIArb and DLA Piper and studied LPC LLM at BPP University.

In September 2021 I started my training contract at HFW LLP and I am currently in my first seat - Ship Finance.

In my previous role as a PR & Engagement Executive at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, I was promoting alternative dispute resolution and helping people and organisations to avoid, manage and resolve disputes.

I became interested in alternative dispute resolution and international law during my legal studies by participation in the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot in Vienna in 2014 and have coached and arbitrated on various Pre-Moots since then.
