Ms Evanthia Kasiora

Evanthia Kasiora is an Associate in the International Arbitration Practice of White & Case in Paris. Ms Norah Kibaka-Vibila

Ms. Kibaka-Vibila is currently a doctoral candidate in the field of Anti-Discrimination Law at Saarland University, Germany. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in International Relations at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, before earning her Master of Laws (LL.M) in European and International Law at the Saarland University. Her specialisation are in the areas of international law, european and international protection of human rights and international dispute resolution. Elena Koch practices in the area of alternative dispute resolution with a focus on international arbitration.
Elena advises in IT, intellectual property, corporate, banking & finance, international trade, construction and in the maritime sector. She advises clients during all stages of litigation and arbitration. Elena is familiar with various substantive and procedural laws as well as with arbitration rules of major international arbitral centres (including ICC, DIS, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and ICAC at UCCI).

Before joining rothorn legal, Elena worked as an associate at a leading law firm in Odessa. Elena completed a number of professional programs, inter alia the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris (2021), the ICA International Advanced Regulatory Compliance Programme (2019), and the LEAD Programme of the Ukrainian British City Club in London (2016).

Elena is a member of Young ICCA, the LCIA Young International Arbitration Group, the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, the Ukrainian National Bar Association, and the Ukrainian Bar Association.

MMag Erik KOCH

MMag. Erik Koch, born 1973, studied law at the University of Vienna (incl. an “ERASMUS”- stay in Copenhagen, Denmark) from 1991 to 1996. Afterwards he worked for the Austrian courts, lawyers and a “Notar”. 2005 he finished business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. From 2005 to 2015 he worked for NÖGUS (Healthsystem of Lower Austria) and since 2015 for the Notruf NÖ GmbH (coordination of the emergency rescue services in Lower Austria).
During the 1990-ies Erik Koch acted some years as vice-president for the United Nations Youth and Student Association of Austria - Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs and since 1999 as participant and arbitrator for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Mrs Magda Kofluk

Magda is a construction arbitration specialist based in Dubai within Stephenson Harwood's international arbitration and construction and engineering practice groups. She has represented clients in over a dozen complex and high-value arbitrations relating to international construction projects across all major industries including energy, infrastructure, real estate, airports, and rail. She is experienced in proceedings under the ICC, DIAC and QICCA rules, as well as in pre-arbitration negotiations and dispute board proceedings. Her experience includes representing a Middle Eastern sovereign government in multiple arbitration proceedings concerning a major infrastructure project in the region with more than US$2 billion in dispute. She has also been a lead counsel on multiple high-value construction arbitrations under the ICC Rules. Magda was shortlisted as "Construction Lawyer of the Year" at the LexisNexis Middle East Women in Law Awards 2023. Prof Benoit Kohl

Professor
Benoît Kohl is a professor at the law faculty of the Université de Liège, where he heads the department for contract law and construction law. Since 2010, he is appointed guest lecturer at the Université de Paris II (Panthéon Assas), where he teaches European construction law. Moreover, at the law faculty, he is in charge of the programme of evening classes intended for construction professionals who wish to become legal experts.

Benoît Kohl is an attorney at the Brussel’s Bar. He concentrates on real estate law, construction law and contract law in general. Besides negotiating contracts, drawing up legal advice and structuring operations in relation to these matters, he has also dealt with various disputes before judicial courts and in arbitrational procedures. Since June 2020, Benoît Kohl is the President of the CEPANI, the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (www.cepani.be). Between 2012 and 2017, he was also the Co-President of Cepani40, an association of young arbitration practitioners, operating under the CEPANI. He is also appointed by the Belgian Minister of Justice to represent Belgium at the United Nations, for the negotiation of the UNCITRAL instruments on arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (https://uncitral.un.org/en/working_groups/2/arbitration) .

Benoît Kohl is a founding member of the Belgian Association for Construction Law (www.abdc.be). He was president of the association between 2010 and 2019. In 2011, he was appointed President of the European Society of Construction Law (www.escl.org). He is also a member of the International Academy of Construction Lawyers (http://int-acl.org).

Benoît Kohl has been appointed by the Belgian Minister of Justice to seat from 2016 to 2020 as a member of the federal commission in charge of the reform the Civil code (contract law).

Ms Lucie Kolačkovská

Lucie represented Charles University in the 28th Vis Moot competition. As she enjoyed the experience and was rather curious what an actual in-person moot court looks like, she decided to become a coach of the Charles University team. Apart from an obvious interest in commercial law and international arbitration, she also focuses on medical law as a research assistant at the Department of Medical Law.

Mrs Luíza Kömel

Mr Michał König

Dr. Konuralp received his undergraduate degree from Ankara University in 2011, his LL.M. degree in law and economics from Bilkent University in 2013. He got his Ph.D. degree in private law from Bilkent University in 2018. He conducted his doctoral research in Justus Liebig Universitaet, Gießen, Germany from February 2015 to February 2016 for the doctoral dissertation on "Civil Liability of Arbitrators". After completion of Ph.D degree he was entitled a post-doc scholarship which was provided by Bilkeny University in which he used to work as research assistant during his LL.M. and Ph.D studies. He conducted his post-doc research in Universität Regensburg, Germany from August 2018 to July 2019 and in Institut suisse de droit comparé, Lausanne-Switzerland from October 2019 to March 2020 (which would be end in July 2020 but shortened due to Covid-19 crisis). Mr Torsten Köppel

Tamara is an associate at Squire Patton Boggs (Prague). Her work is focused mainly on litigation and investment arbitration. Ms Sofia Kovacevic

Sofia Kovačević is a Senior Associate at Wolf Theiss and a member of the firm's Arbitration Team in Vienna. Her areas of expertise focus on international investment arbitration, commercial arbitration, and construction arbitration under the FIDIC rules. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Sofia worked at several prominent law firms in Vienna and Serbia, advising both international and local clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation matters. Mr Werner R. Kranenburg

Werner R. Kranenburg, the principal of Kranenburg, is an attorney and arbitrator. The focus of his law practice is on the representation of private individual stockholders and institutional investors in corporate governance matters, stockholder and securities class action litigation, and arbitration before specialised tribunals. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and various US federal courts.

Mr Marc Krestin

Marc Krestin (1982) is a Partner at the Amsterdam office of the international law firm Pogust Goodhead and co-head of the firm's International Arbitration group. He joined Pogust Goodhead in January 2022 after having worked over 13 years for other international law firms in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Paris. Marc specialises in international arbitration and group litigation.

His international arbitration experience includes acting as counsel in arbitrations under the ICSID, ICC, UNCITRAL and NAI rules, with a focus on energy and post-M&A disputes. He regularly advises private investors and state entities on investment protection and international investment arbitration. He is also frequently involved in arbitration-associated court litigation, such as the enforcement and setting aside of arbitral awards.

Marc is a member of ICC YAF, LCIA YIAG, Young ICCA, NAI and the Arbitration Commission of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA). Ms Manuela Kreuzeder

Manuela Kreuzeder is an associated partner in Noerr's Berlin office with more than seven years of experience in commercial arbitration.

Manuela Kreuzeder acts as counsel and arbitrator in arbitral proceedings conducted under various arbitration rules as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. Her practice has a particular focus on disputes in the banking sector and disputes arising out of supply contracts in different industries. Mr Hrvoje Kurelec

Hrvoje has extensive experience in international arbitration and public international law matters, in particular investor-state dispute settlement. He has acted as counsel in arbitration disputes conducted under various institutional arbitration rules (ICSID, ICC, VIAC and SCC) across a wide range of sectors, inter alia energy, construction and mining. Hrvoje started his career at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia and he also worked as a legal advisor to the Croatian Parliament.

Mr Niels Kurth

Niels Kurth is a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant at the Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. He specializes in the fields of international private law and international civil procedure. Niels took part in the Vis Moot in Vienna in 2015 and has been associated with the competition ever since. Like in the years 2016 and 2018, he is coaching the VIs Moot Team of the Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Mr Matthias Kuscher

Matthias Kuscher is a partner in De Brauw's disputes group who specialises in international disputes, including international commercial and investment arbitration and cross-border litigation.

Since joining De Brauw in 2012, Matthias has acted as counsel in and advised on large-scale international disputes in the fields of energy, infrastructure, investment protection, construction and intellectual property under the rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL, DIS, Swiss Chambers, VIAC, NAI and ICSID as well as before the Dutch and English courts. He also sits as an international arbitrator.

Prior to joining De Brauw, Matthias was Legal Counsel to the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague and established the PCA’s first overseas presence as the inaugural PCA Representative and Legal Officer in the Republic of Mauritius. Mr Georg Kuusik

I participated at Willem C. Vis Moot in 2018 and later on have acted as a coach to the teams of University of Tartu. In 2020 I graduated from University of Tartu and currently I am working at a law firm as an attorney focusing primarily on finance and insurance law.

Dr Marc R Labgold

Dr Labgold is an independent international arbitrator and also regularly serves as lead counsel in complex international commercial arbitrations under a broad range of arbitral rules and procedures in disputes arising from a wide array of contract types and subject matters. Ms Megan C. Labgold

Megan C. Labgold is a registered U.S. patent attorney specializing in international commercial arbitration and patent litigation.

Ms. Labgold earned her bachelor's degree in biology from West Virginia University and her JD from Florida International University College of Law (FIU). While at FIU, Ms Labgold was a member of the International Commercial Arbitration team and represented FIU at the 26th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria.

Ms. Labgold has been involved in all phases of international commercial arbitrations, including participating in in-person and remote hearings in arbitrations seated in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York. In addition to her role as counsel, she has served as Tribunal Secretary in a complex arbitration that included claims of patent infringement, breach of confidentiality and misappropriation of trade secrets. Ms Valeriia Lada

Valeriia is a Ukrainian-qualified lawyer who has vast experience in domestic dispute resolution, as well as international commercial and investment arbitration.
Valeriia represented private and state-owned entities in commercial disputes under the GAFTA and ICAC UCCI arbitration rules. Her experience also includes acting as a local counsel for Ukraine in an investment dispute under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. She also advised clients on potential prospects of protecting their rights under BITs. In addition, she has experience in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as setting-aside procedures in Ukraine.
She is a member of several professional associations, including the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, Young ICCA and Young ITA. She often prepared and published reports on Ukrainian arbitration-related court cases for UAA.
Valeriia holds a Bachelor (2014) and a Master (2016) degree in law from reputable Ukrainian universities. Dr Tanneke Laffargue-Haak

Dr Tanneke LAFFARGUE-HAAK
Dr Tanneke Laffargue-Haak currently works at the EPO, the patent office for Europe where she has judged patents for more than two decades in the field of life sciences, in particular pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She conducted more than 150 oppositions in English, German and French. Tanneke was also involved in training and coaching patent examiners at the EPO and national offices, as well as European patent attorneys.
Confronted with the limits of post grant inter partes administrative procedures, Tanneke got interested in ADR for resolving patent disputes. She earned a post graduate diploma with Merits in international commercial arbitration from Queen Mary in 2012 and intends to work as an independent arbitrator and technical expert for cross-border life science patent disputes in the near future.
A native of the Netherlands, Tanneke’s education covers pharmacy, business administration and law and has been acquired across Europe (Utrecht, Grenoble, Toulouse, London, Geneva). Mr Dominik Liška

Dr Greg Lourie

Greg is a German qualified lawyer and Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He heads the ICA 3 case management team responsible for the administration of approximately 200 arbitrations, primarily in connection with Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Scandinavia and the Nordics.

Prior to joining the ICC, Greg worked as an attorney with major international law firms in Paris, Frankfurt and Washington DC. Mr John Lowe

John W. Lowe serves as an international arbitrator and mediator. Since beginning this work, he has served as tribunal chairman, member of arbitral tribunals and sole arbitrator in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations on more than 50 arbitrations. Mr. Lowe has trained as a mediator with both the AAA in the US, CEDR and CMAP in Europe and has handled numerous mediations in Europe. He began his career as a US diplomat (economist) working in Mexico, Washington and Italy where he also worked in private practice. He has worked internationally as General Counsel for telecommunication, industrial and software companies and has served as Chief Compliance Officer for a major freight forwarder. I am a full professor of Civil procedural law at the University of Bologna, Italy, and a practicing civil lawyer. I have written extensively in matters of transnational litigation, especially with reference to EU private international law regulations as well as in matters of Italian civil procedure and arbitration law. Many of my publications are available on my www.academia.edu account. I am the Director of a Summer School on Transnational Litigation organized over a week every July by the University of Bologna at Ravenna and I coach the University of Bologn Vis Moot team since 2020 (as well ad the Unibo Pax Moot Team). Ms Dana MacGrath

Dana MacGrath is an independent arbitrator with more than two decades of experience in international arbitration as an arbitrator, arbitration practitioner, and in-house counsel. She has served as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chair in numerous arbitrations. She joined Arbitra International in August 2022. Prior to becoming a full-time arbitrator, she was an international arbitration practitioner at several global law firms and an investment manager and in-house counsel at a third-party funder. Professor MacGrath serves on the AAA-ICDR Council and co-chairs the AAA Large Complex Case Committee. Previously she served as chair of the New York City Bar Arbitration Committee and on several ICC Commission on Arbitration task forces.

Professor MacGrath has long been a proponent of diversity in arbitration. She served as president of ArbitralWomen for four years (July 2018-June 2022), is a member of the ERA Pledge Steering Committee and co-chairs its US Subcommittee, serves on the Steering Committee of Racial Equality for Arbitration Lawyers (R.E.A.L.) and the Executive Committee of the Equal Representation of Experts (ERE).

She is an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Law, where she teaches an international arbitration practicum course. She earned her J.D. from NYU School of Law.

Mr Angus Macinnis

Angus Macinnis is a lawyer in private practice (holding the position of Director of Dispute Resolution) at a boutique commercial firm in Sydney, where he has a broad dispute resolution practice. He is also the Co-chair of the International Trade and Business Committee of the International Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

After having coached teams from other Sydney universities in the 13th to 16th Moots, and in the 23rd and 24th Moots, he returned to the fray in the 26th Moot as the coach of the team from the Thomas More Law School at the Australian Catholic University, a role in which he has continued since that time, and is reprising again this year.

Mr Donny Mackinnon

Donny is an experienced and multi-disciplined construction professional: a Chartered Construction Manager, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Chartered Arbitrator (qualified in both domestic and international commercial arbitration). He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors and is a Member of the Academy of Experts. He sits as a construction industry arbitrator and adjudicator, is CIOB Accredited in Adjudication and acts as independent expert. He is Chairman of the CIArb Scottish Branch and is listed on the CIArb Approved Faculty List for tutoring and examining on the CIArb Diploma (all modules for International Arbitration, domestic Arbitration and modules 1 to 3 for Construction Adjudication).

Mr Ishaan Madaan

Ishaan Madaan is an International Arbitration Associate with DLA Piper New York. He has a special focus on the intersection of insolvency and arbitration, and founded Arbinsol as a platform to advance thought leadership in the sphere. Ms Tamara Manasijevic

Tamara Manasijevic is an Attorney at Law with ARP, Vienna. She is admitted in Croatia and, as a registered European lawyer, in Austria.

Tamara acts as counsel, arbitrator and secretary to arbitral tribunals in domestic and international arbitral proceedings, both institutional and ad hoc. I was born and raised in the small town in Tivat Montenegro. There I'v finished elementary and high school with the honors.
In Podgorica I have enroled at Law School University of Montenegro in 2011 and I have graduated Law in June 2015 with honors. Since then I have been working in the Law office in Budva where I have been practicing almost every area of law, including commercial law and arbitration.

Important fact is my role in re-establishing the Moot team of Montenegro, three years ago. I wanted to leave some legacy on my senior year at the University of Montenegro, and that year, 2014 I have established competition team for the year 2015 for William C. Vis Moot. Year after I have continued with coaching the Montenegrin team and this year I am doing the same as well among the all obligations that i have in my professional life.

This competition gave me an exceptional experience and it really changed my view for the Law and hard and competitive market in the world.
I will continue with William C. Vis Moot program as far as I can and I hope this tradition will be the long lasting one.

Ms Liz Martins

My name is Liz Martins. I have a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where I graduated in November 2021. Now I work as a Lawyer in the dispute resolution practice (litigation and arbitration) of BMA Advogados in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

My first contact with the Vis Moot was in 2019, when I participated as an oralist in the 26th Edition. I was an oralist again in the 27th Edition and, after that, acted as a coach of my university in the 28th and 29th Vis Moots. This year I will be attending the Vis Moot once again as a coach. Ms Bianca McDonnell

Bianca McDonnell is an Associate at White & Case LLP in the International Arbitration Practice in Madrid. Admitted in Australia and New York, Bianca focuses her practice on investment arbitration proceedings under the ICSID rules, complex commercial arbitrations and construction proceedings. Prior to joining White & Case Bianca worked for Juan Fernandez-Armesto where she acted as assistant and secretary to the tribunal, specialising in investment arbitrations. Prof Dr Mary-Rose McCue McGuire

Mary-Rose holds law degrees from the Vienna University School of Law (1999) and the University of Göttingen (2002) as well as a doctoral degree from the University of Göttingen (2004). Ms Emily McMurtry

Emily is a lawyer and arbitrator with the Ottawa (Canada) office of Dentons Canada LLP. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, where she acts on various arbitration matters (international and domestic), construction disputes, shareholder litigations, leasing matters, real estate development matters and professional negligence claims. In her arbitration practice, Emily has represented clients in domestic and international disputes involving product liability claims, mining industry agreements and construction disputes. She has experience under several institutional rulesets, including the ICC, ICDR, CIArb, JAMS, and ADRIC. An award-winning speaker, Emily won top honours at the Foreign Direct Investment Moot in Buenos Aires Argentina in November 2016. She then went on to compete in and win the Willem C. Dr Alice Meissner

Dr. Alice Meissner has been practising law since 2009 and is a Partner of Fieldfisher (Vienna) and Head of the Austrian Dispute Resolution Team. She is a dual admitted attorney with the Vienna and Munich Bar Association and a listed arbitrator with various institutions, Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb) and Chair of the European Chinese Arbitrators Association. Ms Meissner has been working in corporate and dispute resolution teams with well-known international law firms. She has a well-established track record in in representing multinational clients in international arbitration proceedings under the ICC Rules of Arbitration, the Vienna Rules (VIAC) and the CIETAC Rules of Arbitration. Mr Diego Melendez

For more than 5 years, I worked as an associate in the litigation and arbitration team of Arias Law, a regional Central American law firm. There, I acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, mostly in construction disputes. I also acted as counsel in litigation proceedings regarding civil, commercial, administrative, criminal, and constitutional matters.

During my master’s at Humboldt University of Berlin, my study focused on international arbitration, investment law, and private international law. In addition to my studies, I also worked as an intern for two international arbitration firms. In Wagner Arbitration I assisted in investment and commercial arbitration proceedings, and in Borris Hennecke Kneisel I assisted the arbitral tribunal in complex commercial disputes related to cross-border insolvency, post-M&A, and shareholder agreements.

Prof Olaf Meyer

Olaf is Professor of Contract Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Having obtained a Master's degree from the University of Oxford and a PhD from the University of Münster, he previously held a position as lecturer at Bremen University and was visiting professor at the universities of Berlin, Mannheim, Münster and Hamburg. He is also a regular guest lecturer at foreign universities and is often invited to speak at international events.
His publications cover a wide range of topics from international commercial law and arbitration to private international law, comparative law and anti-corruption. Recently, Olaf edited the comparative guide on "Public Policy and Private International Law" (Edward Elgar 2022).
As co-director of Frankfurt's Reseach Lab on Law and applied Technologies (ReLLaTe), Olaf also closely follows the latest developments in legal tech and is currently pursuing a major reseach project on robo-justice and smart contracts.

Mr Pratyush Miglani

I am an India-qualified lawyer with more than 13 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. I started my law firm, MVAC Advocates & Consultants in 2015 and have since led the Dispute Resolution portfolio of the same. The key areas of my practice include international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, and commercial litigation. Over the years, I have represented a large number of clients before international arbitral institutions such as the SIAC, ICC, DIAC, etc. and before ad hoc tribunals constituted in India and abroad. I also served as a panel member of the Union of India before the Delhi High Court for 3 years. My areas of interest include cross-border disputes, taxation, and insolvency laws. During her studies, Bara Mika participated in several moot courts, including the Vis Moot (speaker in the elimination rounds) and FDI. She served as a coach for the Charles University Vis Moot team for five years and remains active in the Vis Moot community. Ms Parandzem Mikayelyan

I am an impact-oriented ADR enthusiast, with a specific interest in international arbitration. Having obtained a Master's degree in law from the University of Silesia in Poland, my passion for international law led me to London where I began working with a barrister specialising in international arbitration.
