Ms Adriana Uson

Adriana Uson is the Director & Head (Americas) of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) where she leads and oversees SIAC’s activities in North and Latin America. In 2020, Adriana led the establishment of SIAC’s first office outside of Asia in New York.

Adriana has over a decade of experience in dispute resolution and has served as counsel on international arbitrations, arbitrator, and institutional representative.

Adriana first joined SIAC as Counsel, during which time she administered hundreds of cases across a range of seats and governing laws. She was involved in the drafting of the SIAC Rules 2016, SIAC Investment Arbitration Rules 2017, SIAC Rules 2025, and the SIAC Practice Note on third-party funding. She was also a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators working group that published the SIArb Guidelines on Party-Representative Ethics.

Prior to rejoining SIAC, Adriana was a disputes lawyer at a global law firm, where she advised and represented clients in international arbitrations conducted under the auspices of SIAC, ICC, ICSID, and HKIAC.

Adriana has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a National Leader for Southeast Asia in 2023 and an Arbitration Future Leader in 2024. In 2025, Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) recognized her as a Future Leader. She has been described as “a brilliant and focused practitioner” who is “a pleasure to work with in every respect.” One source notes that she “possesses a depth of knowledge in the arbitration space that few others can match,” while another highlights her as a “diligent and thoughtful international arbitration lawyer.” Lexology Index recognizes her as “a sharp and highly intelligent advocate with expertise across the Americas and Asia,” noting that “Adriana has amazing industry insights.” She is recognized as “a thorough, diligent, and excellent arbitration strategist,” and is commended for her “innate ability to think about problems from angles which others rarely consider, and with a sharp analytical mind.”

Adriana represented SIAC at UNCITRAL Working Group II and UNCITRAL Working Group III. She served as Regional Lead for the Americas in the newly formed Young SIAC Council and is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Mr Vytautas Vaicekauskas

Vytautas is a PhD Candidate (International and EU Civil Procedure) at Vilnius University and an Associate at MOTIEKA. His research and practice are primarily focused on cross-border litigation and arbitration.

He graduated from Vilnius University (magna cum laude). He has been a mootie himself, including the 30th Vis Moot. Since, Vytautas is coaching Vilnius University Team for the Vis Moot. Vytautas, as well, teaches several seminars on Private Law at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law. As a PhD researcher he has recently conducted research at the Luxembourg Centre for European Law (LCEL).

I had my first experience with the Vis Moot in 2019, when I participated as a competitor in the 26th Edition. I was an oralist in the 28th Edition of the Vis Moot and have been acting as a coach for my university since. This year I will be attending the Vis Moot once again as a coach.

In the 30th Vis Moot, I hope to provide valuable feedback to the students and contribute to the high level competition that the Vis Moot is acknowledged for.

As the Deputy Secretary General and Legal Director at the Centro Internacional e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje (CIIAM), Elisa leads the coordination of all its cases worldwide.

After obtaining the Double Degree in Law and Business Administration at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Elisa aquired extensive experience in international commercial transactions, advising for 15 years, at Garrigues, clients on pre-litigation negotiation processes and on ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings, in various languages (both French and English, as well as Spanish) and before the most prestigious international institutions, as well as on matters relating to bilateral investment agreements, providing advice to large companies, financial institutions and governments.

Elsewhere, she also acquired specific experience in international construction disputes and, in particular, in FIDIC contracts, assisting her clients from the preparation of claims before the Engineer, to adjudication before DABs and, eventually, arbitration.

Elisa currently lectures on International Arbitration at IE University (Bachelor of Laws, LL.B. and Master in International Arbitration) and Universidad CEU San Pablo (Master in International Arbitration). Oliver D. William obtained his law degree from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and subsequently worked as a practicing attorney in Zurich. During this time, he also contributed to a research project supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). He earned his doctorate from the University of Zurich with a thesis titled "Reinsurance and the Law of Aggregation - Event, Occurrence, Cause." After completing his dissertation, he began a postdoctoral project that focuses on exploring how non-legal norms such as customs and usages become relevant in the law of obligations. David obtained his LLB from the University of Hong Kong, having ranked first in the Class of 2023 law cohort. He then read the BCL at Oxford and the LLM at Harvard University. He is currently a John M. Olin Fellow in Empirical Law and Finance, and a Peter Brooks Saltonstall ’43 Memorial Scholar at Harvard Law School. During his studies, David received a string of law prizes, scholarships, and moot awards. He represented Oxford as an oralist in the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where his team received an honourable mention for the Werner Melis Award. He also arbitrated the Vis East Moot in Hong Kong in 2025.
