My name is Viliam Achberger and I am 26 years old.
I am a third year associate practising law at Kinstellar, international law firm located in 12 jurisdictions across CEE, SEE and Central Asia regions. Throughout my university studies, I have actively participated in various Moot Courts, such as 2021 Asia-Pacific Moot Court Brief Writing Competition or Czech Moot Court Competition 2021. In my current practice, I focus on dispute resolution with an emphasis on arbitration. My current work experience includes representing the claimant in proceedings before the ICC. The dispute concerns the mining industry, with the amount in dispute reaching tens of millions of euros.
Last year, I attended the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot as a spectator together with my colleague Michal Hrušovský, Managing Associate, Head of Disputes & Risk Slovakia and long-time participant as a coach and arbitrator.
I was often pleasantly surprised by the level of preparedness of the teams, so I decided that this year I wanted to try arbitration from the "other side of the table." I hope that this experience will be a stepping stone for me to participate in future years and a gateway to the world of arbitration practitioners.

Samuel Pinaman Adomako is an a lawyer who specialises in commercial dispute resolution and international investment arbitration. Francesco Alongi holds a PhD in Comparative Private Law from the University of Milan, where his research focused on environmental law. He earned his Master of Laws (Laurea Magistrale) cum laude from the University of Bologna, completing a dissertation on intellectual property rights and competition law. Dr. Mohammed Alshamsi is an Assistant Professor of Law at the United Arab Emirates University, College of Law. Dr. Hamidreza Aslani is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and an experienced legal professional with an extensive background in immigration law, arbitration, and intellectual property. He brings more than two decades of combined experience in legal practice, academic research, university teaching, and professional immigration services in both Canada and Iran.

During my studies in Vienna I developed a strong passion for Moot Courts and took part in three Moots, however not yet in the Vis Moot. After graduating I moved to Basel to work as a Teaching and Research Assistant. As part of my work I had the great honour of being Coach for the Basel Vis Moot Team for two years. For me, this meant shifting positions: Instead of being in the spotlight myself, I tried to nuture and develop young talents. Not only was this my first coaching experience but also in a field and specifically in a Moot I had not yet gained any insights into so far. Besides all the obvious rewarding aspects as learning a lot about International Commercial Law and gaining insights into International Arbitration practice and getting to know people from various cultures and legal backgrounds, I found working with the teams, especially during the Oral Phase most rewarding. It was during one of those countless pleadings in spring when I decided to come back to the Vis as Arbitrator. Erin Cronjé is a South African attorney with over 12 years of international arbitration and litigation experience in leading law firms in South Africa and the Netherlands. She is currently a Legal Director at Pogust Goodhead (Amsterdam), and a CEDR-accredited mediator. She has acted as counsel in multiple arbitration proceedings under the Rules of the ICC, ICSID, VIAC, NAI, AFSA and UNCITRAL, and in the South African and Dutch fora. Erin is the Europe representative of the African Arbitration Association (AfAA) Young Members Committee, a member of the AfAA Capacity-Building Committee, and a Director of Africa in the Moot.

By way of introduction, I am Tímea Csajági, an attorney-at-law at Wolf Theiss Hungary and a PhD candidate at the Civil Procedural Law Department of ELTE Faculty of Law in Hungary.
After having received my degree, I was involved in the preparatory phases of the new Hungarian Civil Procedural Code and the new Hungarian Act on Arbitration as a legal expert of the Ministry of Justice.
Thereafter, I have worked at different international law firms and I currently work as an attorney-at-law in the Litigation, Dispute Resolution Department of Wolf Theiss Hungary. Stuart is a commercial and chancery barrister who has qualified and has practised in England, Ireland and BVI and a Fellow if the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Arbitration has long been a central part of Stuart's practice and he has acted in claims brought pursuant to the LCIA, ICC, JAMS, SCC and BVI IAC rules as well as ad hoc and statutory arbitrations. He has a particular interest in the intersection between insolvency and arbitration. Many years ago, Stuart represented the University of London team at the Vis moot.

Anthony Daimsis is a professor at the University of Ottawa, faculty of law and teaches contract law, international arbitration, and international sales law. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the current Chair of the Canadian branch. David Wohlgemuth is a former mootie participating for the University of St.Gallen in 2014/15, which sparked his interest in international arbitration. Following his studies, David joined the arbitration and litigation team at Wenger Vieli Ltd in Zurich as an intern, where he gained his first practical experiences in the field of international arbitration. After being admitted to the bar in 2020, he continued working in international commercial arbitration and litigation at Wenger Vieli Ltd as well as a solo practitioner. Beyza Demirbaş graduated from MEF University Faculty of Law in Istanbul, Turkey, where she also completed a minor in Business Administration. Professor Toni Deskoski Ph.D. graduated at the Faculty of Law, University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia in 1994 as one of the best students in generation. He completed his postgraduate studies in the field of Civil Law – Private International Law in 1999 at Faculty of Law, University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Prateek Dhankhar is an Indian-qualified lawyer with significant experience in commercial litigation and international arbitration. He has worked with the dispute resolution and international arbitration team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., one of India’s leading full-service law firm. His practice experience includes assisting in complex institutional arbitrations under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, as well as appearing before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi in commercial and regulatory matters.

Shashi K. Dholandas is a litigation and arbitration practitioner with the firm of Bailey Duquette P.C. where he provides counsel to clients in both international and domestic matters. Shashi is experienced in all aspects of commercial dispute resolution, including acting as counsel in international and domestic arbitrations under the rules of the AAA, ICDR, ICC and JAMS.
He previously served as a Director and as International Case Counsel with the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) - the international division of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) - and ICDR Canada. Sofiia Diachenko is a graduate law student specialising in international commercial arbitration and international economic law. She is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Global Business Law and Regulation at Central European University (Vienna), where her studies focus on international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, and transnational dispute resolution. Her academic research addresses procedural and substantive issues in international arbitration, including the interaction between investor rights and general international law defences.
Sofiia has participated twice in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, advancing to the top 64 teams and receiving the Eric E. Bergsten Award for Best Team Orals, as well as an Honourable Mention for the Peters Sanders Award for Best Memorandum in the 30th Vis Moot. She has practical experience in cross-border disputes, compliance, and investigations gained at leading Ukrainian law firms. Sofiia is also involved in the organisation of the second CEU Vienna Vis Pre-moot this season.
Emmanuel Diesch is a Master of Law and works as a Junior Associate for rothorn legal in their Zurich offices. He works and advises clients in complex and cross-border disputes including international arbitration and enforcement proceedings. He has a focus on human rights, contract and commercial law and investment arbitration. He studied Law at the University of Basel.
I am a lawyer based in Latvia with 10 years of experience in national and international commercial dispute resolution as a law firm attorney, as well as an inhouse general counsel. During my career I have been involved in various arbitration proceedings in institutions, such as, ICC, SCC, AAA. I have represented clients in commercial litigations before the Latvian courts, as well as handled various cases from inhouse side in Latvia, United States, UK and other jurisdictions. I am currently head the legal department of Printify, which is one of the leading print on demand companies and tech startups in the world. He not only represents clients before arbitral tribunals (including under the VIAC, ICC and UNCRITRAL Arbitration Rules) and state courts, but also advises on claims management and conflict avoidance.
He is a member of Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP) and AIJA (Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats) and regularly lectures and publishes articles on his areas of expertise in national and international publications.
